Carter chuckled as he reached the exit of the gymnasium. "Didn't think a workout could make me sweat that much."
"Same," Au said, laughing.
"H-how can those two be laughing after that torture?" Huo grumbled as he clung to Lidia with his shaky right arm. He had it the toughest out of everyone in the class. "Koukyuu's terrifying. I wonder if she's even human..."
Well, she was part kitsune, so there was that.
"There, there," Lidia said, patting him on the back. "How about we sit down and rest? Your next class isn't too far anyway."
"Okay." He leaned against the wall and sighed. "Now I wish I had run with Let... It would still be grueling, but I wouldn't have thrown up my breakfast."
We probably shouldn't depend on eating during homeroom next time. It wasn't enough time for our food to properly digest. Ugh, Koukyuu really was a demon for giving us this kind of schedule. Well, maybe it isn't her fault but that of whoever initially decided to have a gym class for first years first thing in the morning. On the other hand, she could've gone easier on us. It is our first day. Guess this is what they mean when they call it an elite school.
How did Carter and Au do it? They were given harder tasks than us, being considered part of the "advanced P.E." class.
"Maybe we should talk to Koukyuu about changing your class," Lidia said.
Huo gripped his side and smiled. "Y-yeah... Before this class kills me."
Maybe I should talk to her too...
"S-Say, Mi-Mira, didn't you sign up for a different first-period class?" I asked.
"I did, but I need to pass a test to enter it. I'll be meeting with Mr. Obi after school to take it."
I frowned. If she passed, gym would be less fun.
"So, where to next?" Mira asked as she carried me on her back as we exited gym class. It made finding things a lot easier. Plus, my legs felt like jelly.
I peered at our schedules and the map in my hands.
"Looks like we have the same class! Astrology. It should be nearby, I think." My eyes stopped at the number three. "Oh, this is it!"
Hmm, could Huo have the same class? Lidia did say his next one was close. I wouldn't put it past him. The guy was smart.
Mira walked toward the door but stopped. Her gaze, or at least I assumed, lingered on the doorknob.
"What's wrong?" I asked, lightly tapping her helmet.
"I'm not sure, but I feel a bit funny."
"Oh. Maybe you should go to the nurse's office. It's nearby too!"
"I doubt it would help, given the state of my body. Plus, it's not that kind of feeling. Can't help but get a sense of deja vu."
"Can't you get it someplace else?" a voice said.
