I smirked at Ayawamat and dashed past him. He gasped as a burst of water struck him on the side, sending him falling to the floor.

He staggered up, but I rushed back at him. Webbing surrounded him, forming a tight shield. But that was no issue. The edge of my spear struck the silky dome, deforming it.

I pulled away as several strands untangled, coming at me like a loosely knit net.

"Your reaction speed is as good as Xue's," Ayawamat said as he clapped his hands. "Let's see if you can handle my queen as well as she did!" An olive green seal formed overhead. His giant bee dropped down from the seal.

His trump card, huh? Seems I've pushed him against a wall. It would be foolhardy for me to celebrate. A rabbit was at its most dangerous when cornered.

I ducked as the queen bee zipped at me. Getting hit by her giant stinger seemed painful enough, but its paralyzing effects would certainly cost me the match. Lei had yet to return, so that wasn't an option. Not that I would've given up if he had. I wanted to fight whichever one of the brothers would come out on top. It certainly promised to be as intense a match as the one I had with their older sister.

"Wing beat!" Ayawamat yelled.

I dug the heels of my boots in and had my spear open up like a real umbrella as a fierce gale struck me.

"Oh? So it doubles as a shield. Well, we'll just have to turn that thing upside down!" Ayawamat said, thrusting his hand forward.

I smirked as his queen intensified the beating of her wings. As long as they didn't hit me with a gale from behind, I would be fine.

The hairs on the back of my hair rose. His spider leaped from behind. I spun around, kicking it. The gale pushed me toward it and flipped my spear upside down.

"Now!"

I jumped as the bee stabbed where I had stood. That was a close one. Taking down Aya would be the best course of action. Sadly, there was still no sight of Lei. We shouldn't have depended on Hal to help him. He was talented, but he was still a student like the rest of us.

"Alis Lucis!" I chanted. A pair of clear wings that shimmered in the light like crystal emerged from my back.

"An angel bunny? Never seen that before."

I laughed. I had.

The upper half of my spear-umbrella detached and began spinning around rapidly as it closed up.

Ayawamat stepped back and sprinted toward his bee and spider. A tiny green sphere appeared in his hands. Within it was something black. Were they those termites that ate Xue's ice last year? No, what use would they have against a non-solid spell?

I hit the center of the ring, sending a whirlpool of water out of the tip of my spear.

My opponent grabbed his spider and clung to it as he was pushed away from me by the gush of water. He gasped as I pulled the water back toward me.

His bee flew at me. I smirked and pulled my spear off the ground, raising it to the heavens. I frowned as my spear resembled a stick of cotton candy. Ayawamat hadn't given up with his silk. The insect stopped and flew upward as the water once more switched directions, sending the webbing flying.

"Ugh!" Ayawamat said as he and his spider fell under the swirling water, striking an empty part of the ring. As soon as my vortex ended, they would be hit by the wall of water.

The queen bee pulled her legs from underneath her fuzzy chest, revealing the green orb Ayawamat had been holding. The sphere exploded, shrouding the bee in light green prana. Her wings grew in size and sharpened. The stinger thinned and elongated. What were once scrawny arms turned into claws covered in a metallic exoskeleton. The fur reduced as her overall frame and forehead became streamlined to resemble a jet.
