I rummaged through my bag for the dried berries for my prana tea. I would have to make more than initially expected.
"It appears that we have to delay the match between Lei and Nyima until further notice," Marina said, causing some boos. It reminded me of back in the boat. Both during my first and second year.
"I'll be going ahead," I said, standing up.
"You're not going to stay to help your brothers?" Hikaru asked as he followed me.
I glanced at my triplet brothers as they leaned on each other to walk. Nyima and Adela stood by their side, ready to help if they needed it.
"I would've gone already if I was," I said.
I eyed Yuzuki but she was gone from her seat. Figures she would go over to Lei. Surprisingly, she gave the other two a chance to get there before her. Although, like me, she probably figured it would be best to let those two handle the discussion about the next match.
I put the bag of berries back in my bag and held out a hand and strode for the exit.
"Wait up!" Hikaru said.
I would've, but there was no time to spare. Purple winds swirled around me, forming a sphere of wind in my palm as I exited the stadium.
"I said wait up!" Hika said as he grabbed onto my shoulder just as I warped.
"Hey!" I snapped as we appeared in the kitchen in the old wing of the girls' dorm.
"I can't leave you alone." He looked away as he unhanded me. "Not when you're making that face."
My face flushed a little. "What face?" I stepped toward the stove and turned the large heating element to medium. It was powered with fire mana crystals. Cooking with it gave the food a different taste than a wooden or electric-powered stove. "I'm not making any face."
He sighed as he opened up one of the cabinets and handed me a pot. "You still feel bad about what happened with Burai, don't you?"
Walked over to the sink and turned on the water. Had I? Sometimes, it was hard to tell what I felt. Not that it mattered. Getting the tea finished for my little brothers mattered more.
"Can you put this water on the stove? I'll get the berries," I said, holding the pot out.
He nodded and did as I said. I smiled slightly. One good thing about Hikaru was he would argue a bit, but not as much as my brothers did.
I put my bag on the table and took out the bag of berries Mr. Suzuran had given me for the tea. Given their current state, I probably would have to use all of them up. I sighed. And these were supposed to be to help Lei with his prana drain.
"Looks like we're going to have to do some shopping later, huh?" Hikaru asked as he grabbed a spoon.
"Yeah." I poured the bag of berries into the water. It was nice of Mr. Suzuran to have given me these, but I couldn't keep asking for them. At least not with the expectation for them to be for free. He needed them for his classes.
