You nearly jump at Nightmare's voice. Sure enough, he's standing behind you and Horror, arms crossed across his chest. "Well?"
"I want to go back to my pocket to get my stuff," you say rather meekly.
Nightmare cocks an eyebrow ridge. "Naturally."
"So?" You prompt, a bit uncomfortable under his studious gaze.
"No."
Um, excuse me?? You balk. "No?"
"That's what I just said," he rolls his single teal eyelight. "It's too dangerous."
"I get that- but there's stuff that I need to live."
"Like what?" He asks, humoring you.
You gesture to your body. "Clothes - clean ones - and toiletries... the works."
"You can get all of that here. I don't see the problem."
"But-"
"she thinks it's rude to 'steal' clothes," Dust interrupts with a chuckle. "backwards thinking, if you ask me."
"Is not-"
For the second time in two minutes, you interrupted again. "You're not going. That's an order."
An order?? You're stunned by the randomness of the whole situation. "You can't do that," you say, even though you're sure he can and will.
"My castle, my rules," he shrugs nonchalantly. "Unless you want to start another war between us and the Star Sanses."
Oh, he's good. You stand in silence, rethinking your life choices. "Well..."
"Yes?"
A wicked idea pops into your head and you grin. Might as well try. Batting your eyelashes flirtatiously, you stare the goopy skeleton straight in the eyelight. "Please?"
Total silence. Then Horror coughs quietly.
"..." Unlike what you expected, Nightmare appears to be considering your question.
...wait, is he blushing?! Sure enough, there's an aquamarine tinge dusting his dark cheekbones. And then, a miracle happens.
"...fine. But you're not going alone."
It might as well be heaven on Earth. Your face breaks into a huge smile. "Thank you, Nightmare!"
He waves you off, avoiding eye contact. "Yeah, whatever."
He kinda sounds like Error-
"Let's go, then," With a flick of his wrist, a portal materializes before you.
You're caught off guard. "Wait, right now?"
"When else?"
He does have a point, you chuckle and walk through the portal, followed by the other three skeletons.

Once home, you find an appropriately-sized duffle bag. The others take possession of the kitchen, leaving you to pack. You're glad, too, as you shove a large wad of underwear into the bag.
I don't need any curious skeles snooping through my closet...
Thankfully, you don't own that many clothes, so they all fit in the bag with ample space left. You slink to the bathroom and pack all your toiletries.
Toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, hair stuff, and hairbrush... is that it? You're momentarily surprised by how fast you packed everything. After checking your room one last time - and pillaging a blanket and plethora of mementos - you sling the bag over your shoulder and head downstairs.
The first thing you notice upon entering the kitchen is Horror raiding your cabinets. Look familiar, (Y/n)?
"Uh, hey," you greet them. Nightmare and Dust are seated at the kitchen table, the latter reading the newspaper you'd placed on the counter days ago. "I finished."
"Good," Nightmare says, standing up from his seat. Dust follows and saunters off into the still- open portal. "Horror, we're going."
Horror, who had failed to notice your presence until now, pokes his head out. His eyelight contracts when he catches sight of you and he closes the cabinet guiltily. "...sorry..."
You're not sure who he's apologizing to, but answer anyways. "Don't worry about it. Everyone gets hungry."
"ok."
One of Nightmare's tentacles, which you've come to recognize, wraps around your wrist, wordlessly guiding you to the portal. You beckon to Horror. "Come on, bud."
'Bud', huh?
Though you don't see him follow, it's obvious he does, a strange smile gracing his face.
Heh.

Sorry if this chapter got boring, it's a bit of a filler chapter. The next chapter will be anything but filler, I promise :)
On another note, I'd like to give a shoutout to @Look_ADisappointment for their outstanding support! I'd recommend checking out their Nightmare x Reader story, it's very good.
