There once lived a girl
Bright-eyed and young
Put in a position of power, she ruled with a gentle hand
Caring for her charges as her children.

When evil was subdued, the girl came
And touched the SOULs
Of those broken beings

Because they weren't evil
Just misunderstood
Misused
Mistaken.

When others crumbled, she held firm
And brought light into the cold hearts of
The broken SOULs she cared most about.

And when true evil came, the girl fought with all her might
Because she cared for them
She didn't falter,
Give,
Or break.

But then she was lost
Tumbled in the voided expanse
SOULless,
But not heartless
Or thoughtless.

She was alone,
Terrified,
And weak.

Held captive by a true monster,
With holed hands.
Who stole her identity and life.

And everyone searched for her,
Tirelessly trekking the void in search of their lost friend,
While the girl clung to their memory,
Begging for a reprieve.

And she got it.
SOUL shattered,
She waited.

And waited.
Endlessly waiting.
For an eternity.

Until she was found.
Saved by a carbon copy of the true evil.

But it was not the end.

This was not her end.

Empowered, the girl returned,
Wielding a heart of HOPE.

She faced the true evil,
Throwing herself on the very line between life and death,
HOPE and DESPAIR,
To save her hopeless friends from their terrible fate.

In a blast of scathing intent,
victory.

And her friends were there for her,
Rejoicing in the survival of their greatest triumph.

The world became safe again.
Evil, though not gone, retreated,
And the girl learned a valuable lesson that day.

She played with fire and won,
Paying the ultimate price for peace.

Time moved on,
Forever memorializing the tale of bravery and LOVE unrequited.
