You laughed softly at the look on Horror's face. "My wings. I don't mind people touching them as long as they ask first."
He wanted to; really, really wanted to. "are you... sure?"
Horror gave in; his hand reached out, smoothing over your soft feathers. The feeling was indescribable, like touching a cloud. "soft."
You glanced up at him. "Really?"
"yes," his phalanges tingled. "very soft."
You worried your lip between your teeth as a pink flush covered your cheeks.
cute. "aw, are you embarrassed?"
There was no answer; pink turned to red. He liked that color.
"W-We should finish the cookies," your voice shook slightly as your wings retracted against your back.
A shame, really.
"alright."
In truth, Horror wanted to make more cookies with you, not use you as some sort of spy. You... you were too good for that.
When the prep was done, you slid the cookies in the oven. He excused himself from the kitchen, much to your dismay.
"don't worry... i'll be back," he reassured you, before stepping away. He had a date with the devil, after all.

Nightmare opened the door on the first knock. "Horror? Aren't you supposed to be with (Y/n)?"
"...we can't."
The goopy skeleton inclined his skull. "What do you mean?"
Horror exhaled. "...can't... use her... as a spy."
"Come in," Nightmare opened his door and Horror stepped in. "Why not?"
The giant skeleton didn't even hesitate. "...too good. would feel... bad."
Surprisingly, Nightmare nodded. "I thought you would say that."
"you did?"
"Yes, considering the amount of time you've spent with her. In a non-murderous way, might I add," the goopy skeleton continued. "It isn't a... terrible thing."
Horror considered his words. "...so?"
"I don't believe we will continue with the 'mission'."
The smile plastered across Horror's face was the first non-murdery one Nightmare had seen from the large skeleton. "thanks, boss."

The first nonviolent encounter you shared with Dust was far from friendly.
"what the hell do you want?"
In fact, it was quite unfriendly.
"Do you need help?" You noticed Dust crouching over the washing machine, muttering some choice words.
Silence. You inched forward.
"get the fuck away from me."
Jeez, someone's touchy.
Unrelenting, you continued. "Press the green button on the top."
"i already did," he growled, banging his fist on the steel top. "the darned thing just won't work."
"Can I see?" You asked tentatively, not wanting to set him off. Dust shrugged and moved aside. His usual hoodie was nowhere to be found.
So that's why he's so worked up...
"fine, but i don't think you'll be-"
Ding!
The machine started with a heady whirl. You grinned at Dust. "You were saying?"
He stared past you, which was quite unnerving. "huh. she's not that bad, paps."
...who the hell is 'paps'???
It became clear - judging from the wide grin on his skull, that he was deliberately trying to scare you.
...or was he?
