As they got further down the hall, they noticed that their pursuers had fallen back. There was now a bit of distance between them. Yuki began running faster, pain shooting up her leg. She was a little bit behind Red Bear now. He hadn't seemed to notice her injury, so she decided not to mention it to them, not trusting what they would do. Pushing herself to run to keep up, they came to a door. They tried to open it, but found it locked.
"What now?" Mambo asked.
"The only thing we can do is hide," Yuki replied, knowing that they were still being pursued.
Red Bear glanced around in search of an acceptable place to hide. A few seconds passed before he decided that in the ceiling was the only place. "In the ceiling."
Mambo nodded. He grabbed a chair that he found in the closet they were currently standing next to and set it up against the wall. Climbing up onto it, he moved the ceiling tile and pulled himself up and into the rafters. He turned and began helping the rest of them as they follow closely behind him.
As Yuki climbed up, she feared her injury would give them away. She could feel the warm mixture of blood and oil seep down her leg and through her clothing. She hoped and prayed that it wouldn't leave a trail that lead their pursuers to her and the others.
