After the captain disappeared down the elevator, Sabrina snapped into gear. Making her way towards the elevator, she tapped Sypher's shoulder. "Come with me."
"Yes ma'am," Sypher affirmed, jumping to his feet in seconds. "But may I ask... Why me?"
Sabrina shot her gaze over her shoulder at him as they entered the elevator. "Have you ever wondered how a vampire's trust works, Sypher?"
"No ma'am, I haven't," Sypher replied.
Sabrina smirked slightly before schooling her features. After typing in the code for the medical bay, she placed her hands behind her back. "Each individual member of my race places trust in those who have proven their loyalty to others and their privacy yet do the duty they were assigned to the T. Also, the one's chosen either protected one of my race or accomplished a great deed to us at great cost. Do you understand?"
"I believe so. But haven't accomplished any great deeds. And I don't believe I've protected anyone," he observed.
"Which only leaves loyalty," Sabrina exclaimed.
