SMG4 groaned as he saw the hoard.
"It's going to take forever to kill them all..." he mumbled. Turning to the group, he quickly gave them a plan.
"Split into two groups! Some of you look for Gex, the rest of you, fight these guys with me!"
"Right!"
SMG4 raised his owen gun and charged towards the hoard. Unfortunately, he hadn't exactly been clear about who should join him, as he was now alone fighting against the enemy hoard, now locked into the monotony of turn-based combat.
Confused as to why he was alone, he spun around to find everyone else busy searching.
"Huh? Guys, not all of you should be-"
He was immediately interrupted as the enemy sprite art took turns hitting him.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! A little help here!"
Meggy and Melony looked back at him. Realizing they'd left him in the dust, they quickly ran over to help him out. Meanwhile, Aeris was digging through shelf after shelf of games.
"Why are there so many copies of Dick Vitale's It's Awesome Baby College Hoops?" he muttered to himself, confused.
Bob meanwhile was busy digging through a bunch of anime games.
"So MuCh GoOd ShIt HeRe!" he let out, as he aggressively sniffed the boxes.
"Bob, not right now!" SMG4 shouted, as he used his turn to shoot one of the sprites.
"SMG4 used GUN! It's super effective! Enemy JRPG SPRITE is DEAD!"
As Aeris nervously rummaged through the shelves, something suddenly caught his eye from one of the security mirrors. There, behind the counter, was a single copy of Gex for the N64... locked in a display case.
"I found one!" he called out to the group.
"Well hurry up and grab it!" SMG4 ordered him.
"Crap, where's the key?"
Climbing over the counter, he began to rummage through its various drawers, searching for anything that resembled a key. While he was busy with that, some of the JRPG sprites outside simply went around the fight and entered the store.
"They're flanking us!" SMG4 shouted.
"Run!" Luigi shouted.
Mario and Bob raised their heads, confused.
"What?" they both asked. It was too late though. Before they could do anything, all three of them were quickly locked into RPG combat too.
"Mamafucka!" Mario cursed, "Who still plays this sh_t anymore?!"
"HeY! oCtOpAtH tRaVeLlEr Is A mAsTeRpIeCe!" Bob retorted.
Then Luigi interjected: "It's kind of generic to be honest- OW!"
He was cut off by a hammer hitting him in the face. Aeris meanwhile was getting desperate. He'd looked everywhere but couldn't find a single key. In his desperation, he quickly gave up and grabbed a screwdriver from one of the drawers.
"Screw it, this is taking too long."
Standing up to his feet, he raised the tool, brought it down and...
Tchink!
It barely left a crack in the glass. Aeris shook his head in confusion.
"What the?!"
Looking at the glass, his eyes jolted open in shock when they came across a small label that read: "Ballistic glass".
"How does one game have this much security?!"
