Aeris could not remember what came after he spoke his last words to Meggy. Nor could he remember how long it was since everything had gone black for him. Nor did he know when it all became white instead.

As the white began to fade, he started to see clearly again. He could see a lightbulb shining overhead from the ceiling. Feeling around, he slowly came to the realization he was in a hospital bed. Turning to his side could see a face observing him closely. Groggily, the inkling mumbled:

"Meggy...?"

As his vision became clearer, he was suddenly hit with the realization that it wasn't Meggy's face he was looking up at, but at the empty eyes of a man in a gas mask.

he laughed, his muffled words indecipherable.

"Wha?!" Aeris let out, confused.

"Pyro, get ze fuck out!" another voice, male with a German accent, shouted. The TF2 Medic suddenly shoved the Pyro aside, "How did you even get in here? I thought you were banned after burning down ze last one!"

"Huduhuduh-huh!" replied the masked man.

"Ah, I see."

"Huh?" Aeris mumbled, still confused and frightened.

"Oh! He's awake! Aw... For a second I thought I could get started with implanting ze whale testicles."

"The... What?!"

"Will you two leave him alone?!" a familiar voice shouted, pushing the doctor and the pyromaniac aside. Seeing her come into view, Aeris let out a small gasp. Meggy was there, sitting on a stool by his bedside.

"Hey Meggy... Morning..." he said, slowly recovering from the grogginess.

"Well, it's actually the afternoon," Meggy told him.

"Oh... Wait..." Aeris said, as the memory of what had happened before he'd blacked out began to flash in his mind, as he suddenly raised his back up, "The compound, Infinite, our friends-" he said in a panicked voice.

He swiftly was interrupted by Meggy, who gently placed her hands on his shoulder and hands, calming him.

"Hey, hey. It's okay... It's over. We're safe. We made it out. We all did."

"Thanks to you, buddy," another voice suddenly told him. Startled, Aeris looked to the edge of the bed to see SMG4 and Mario standing there.

"Guys... You're okay..." he said.

"Yup," SMG4 told him, "We're all elated to know you're okay".

"Mostly thanks to'a me, Dr Mario!" Mario boasted, as he flung on a lab coat onto his back and pulled out a bottle of pills, causing Meggy to sigh and roll her eyes, before she and Aeris let out a small chuckle.

"Hope to see you get back on your feet soon, Aeris," SMG4 told him. Turning to the Medic, he asked: "When will he be able to get back up?"

"Well, he'll make a full recovery. With ze work I've done, all traces of his burns should be gone. He'll be up in a few days. In ze meantime, here is das bill."

The German then proceeded to slap the Youtuber with a clipboard holding some paperwork. Taking it into his hands, SMG4's eyes jolted wide open upon seeing the cost.

"What the hell is this?! I thought we have free healthcare?" he asked.

"Well, hospitals do not magically rebuild themselves in ze span of a few months after burning down!" retorted the Medic, before grabbing the Pyro and dragging him out of the room, "Now, if you'll excuse me."
