. . . .

After our emotional fest, I had some more questions for Annie.

"So Annie, if I can't get a magic tutor, how will I learn how to use magic?" I asked. Annie starts to rearrange my books in a more manageable pile.

"Well, that's easy. You'll be attending school soon. You can learn how to use magic there!" She claps her hands together.

"Why didn't you just tell me that and not waste your time asking for a tutor then?" I look at her suspiciously.

"Oh, well, it doesn't start till the fall season, which is two moons. I thought you might want to start as soon as possible since-" She gestures to me.

"I don't know anything. Yeah, thanks for thinking of me" I finish her sentence and smile in understanding. Annie nods. I snuggle into the covers a little and rest my hands over my stomach comfortably.

"So, what school am I going to?" I asked. Annie brings a chair over and sits down.

"I wanted to be comfortable this time." She says. I laughed. Did we talk that long?

"Okay." She clears her throat.

"My lady will attend Regis Academia in the fall season. It's one of the most prestigious academies here in Regiskuria. It takes its name from our empire, Regiskuria. It's basically the place where all of the highest-class nobles and talented commoners attend to foster connections and improve skills." She blushes.

"I heard from others that the Third Prince Yulian is very handsome." She says dreamily. Third Prince Yulian? Kind of a girly name I must say.

"My lady will probably meet the Third Prince at school, though he is older than you by one. I wished I could go and meet the prince!" She swoons at the thought. Reminds me of that book I saw...Secret Rendezvous...

"How do I meet someone who's older than me? Isn't it divided by age?" I'm getting a little excited about going to a magic school! Will we ride brooms and have wands or something?

"Yes, it's divided by age. My lady will be attending classes with other students of the same age. But you may also meet upperclassmen in your magic and combat classes. Also if you're going to be joining clubs." Annie clarifies.

"Magic and combat classes?" I wondered. Annie nods.

"Yes, all students of Regiskuria are required to learn magic and combat. It is an essential part of one's basic survival and many focus on specific aspects for their future occupation." Annie says.

"Oh, are there specific magic and combat classes? Did I need to choose my classes?" This might be bad if there isn't a generic beginner's magic class. I'll definitely fail in a more advanced class.

"Oh no, everyone has the same classes, and they cover everything from the history to different styles and types of magic. But you can take specific electives or join clubs to learn more and to focus on a specific area." Annie explains.

"My lady, you don't have to worry about falling behind either, most students don't formally learn magic or combat skills till they enter school. The noble families though will probably have a better understanding and foundation but-" Annie looks at me.

"It should be alright even if you don't perform well and you can always ask for additional tutoring from your mentors if needed."
I nod. Yeah, if your family doesn't know you exist, then it doesn't matter how bad your grades are. Though, this isn't a good mindset to have. I should be working hard to do well so that I can leave and enjoy my life.

Fired up, I'm more motivated to attend school and learn more about the world!
