Bloody Hell

Chapter 21: Alleye

Vampire fangs, that's what they call those teeths. But vampires fangs are sharper than any other teeth because their purpose is to suck out blood, but on the other hand..D-10s were created to suck out a man's soul, along with every bit of flesh on their body.
Oh man...

Alleye was an abandoned city, just the like the ones you'd find on Printest. Greenery over the houses, trees in the parks that never really existed before, dead birds and stuff were all the proofs of a twenty month old city that was completely left to rot.
But it still didn't seem completely dead though, it seemed like everything was alive, like nature alive. At some point even the buildings may begin to walk, who knows?

The dark eyed men and women, wandering around making hushed voices through their saber toothed mouths.Only a few had the right to raise their voice, the leaders.
Who was commanding them? Who kept this city alive with the living dead in it? Who sits on the top level?

"Close the door! Close it!" Everybody shouted.

"Close the fucking door Kim!" Lil hurried towards the door. She managed to close it.

Kim stood there like a helpless doll. Harold rubbed her back in order to comfort her and turned around to ask Lil what happened to her.

"She just saw one of them open their mouth as a warning" Lil said like it was no big deal "chill, I know how that feels, she's gonna take some time, infact she's gonna keep quite like you for a while Harold"

"Hey that's mean" Charlie said.

"Who cares? It wasn't mean when I was left to rot in my own city with such monsters" coming back here, inbetween D-10s wasn't as difficult as coming back into the memory lane of past.
Lil was having a hard time processing it, but she chose not to brag about this in the middle of the misery.
"C'mon everybody"

"Where to now?" Steve speeded up to Lil.

"I always have a plan B" Lil shrugged.

"Wait, you do?" Charlie was surprised "wait.... you don't, do you?"

"I do, and it starts something like you guys go back to the forest and stay hidden, and I'll let you know as soon as everything's safe out here"

"It's never going to be "safe" out here Lil, and how do you plan on communicate with us?" Charlie sounds like a new leader.

"Great then come let's play hide and seek with the  D-10s. Shall we?" I change my mind, Lil still makes the best leader.

"Okay-okay...Lil go ahead, we'll be waiting in the forest, if you're not back by the evening, we'll come looking for you" Steve made a fair deal.

"See?" Lil looked at Charlie as if she was implying something, like Steve being a better companion, or more. She got that feeling again in her stomach.
Maybe it really has been too long...Charlie dude, I suggest you start looking for another girl, because Lil definitely feels something for Steve.

"Great so now we're all parted in three different groups, one with all the brains, one with all the muscles and another one with just a supernatural individual, great!" Kim was exhausted.
Harold kept a hand on her shoulders and guided her back to the forest, the rest followed.

"Stay alive okay?" Charlie kissed Lil on her head.

Steve felt as if his heart was aching, afterall HIS Lil was leaving.

"Just...take care" Steve gave her an awkward smile. Lil half hugged him.

An hour later

This was her story..
It had to be explored by her all alone.
She picked up an old, brown, musty hat on her way and wore it like she was entering a vacation zone.

The children parks were all abandoned. Except for zombie kids wandering around.  The zombies were taking their supplies (dead bodies) to their houses. Yes! Everybody lives in a group here, with a leader, like a family and have different official spots. Like this is some kind of a kingdom.

Lil didn't belong to any and that somehow made them curious. They gave her the coldest stares.

Okay, so here's what happens when they see her. They look at her, all at the same time (I don't know how do they coordinate so well) then sniff her and then get away. It's impossible to not be scared of the way their faces looked due to the infection.
But Lil was fearless, so freaking fearless like she was walking in between a normal crowd. Like there was no blood on these people, like they never bit someone to death, like this wasn't a Blood Freaking Hell.

She was now infront of her old school,I mean the recent one, which she had to drop out of because the principal and 95% of the town turned into zombies.

She walked around and found nothing or nowhere or nobody.. safe. Of course.

Just when she was about to turn around and head back to her people, she saw the lights, from one tiny room in the school building.
"Let's check this out" don't Lil. I don't have a good feeling.

It wasn't like she was expecting a living person here. Technically, there's no way anyone can survive here because D-10s are just another version of possesive humans. But there's no way there animals know how to keep the transformer working.
She recalled the way she ran out of MSSC few months ago.

As Lil was walking through the stairs, her heart felt heavy. She couldn't stop herself from diving into the memory lane.
Back when the stairs were not so red, not so dark, the walls, painted in yellow were bright. Kids, leaning against the lockers, teachers shouting in the hallway...the canteen...
All of this? SHE DIDN'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT ANY OF THIS!
Lil didn't have any friends. Charlie was her only friend. She waited for no one after school, she never snuck into parties, she never went to any detention and never shared her food with anyone the canteen.
"Yeah because people had this habit of considering me weird for no reason" Lil can hear me, shit!

As soon as she was infront of the door which led into the tiny room full of light, she took a deep breath.
"Exhale Lil, why is it so difficult? Who are you expecting?" Lil said to herself.

She pushed the door and it creaked open.

"Lilian! My girl, I was expecting you!"

"Uncle George?!"

I get it that's literally so mean of me, but I like it.
Sooooo who's excited to meet George! The mastermind, the only guy on earth who has all the answers. How's her alive? What his motive, hasn't he done enough already? Is her a good guy or a bad one?
