Chapter 28: Jump Or Not?

"yes, just like that, good!" Aron said as he dropped Tabitha out of the window.

Yeah, that's one epic and universal way of escaping when you're stuck in a deadend. WINDOW.
There were slabs of the windows below. The slabs were spread on wall around the building, enough for six people in the need of help.

The zombies are only going to keep increasing. The door is only going to have more and more pressure eventually. But I have to say, George really is a masterminds. Every single zombie in the world is attracted to Alleye now? Wow.

"Everybody out?" Lil asked one last time as she dusted the cement on her pants.

"Yeah!"

"Okay, Aron, after you" Lil looked at her brother.

"No, you go first"

"Aron please, I'm the last person who D-10s would wanna hurt" Lil said.

"Yeah, except for the fact that a traitor named Steve and a crazy Uncle and almost every zombie who DID HURT you are all gathering there outside, you're all safe" Kim shouted, trying not to look down. She's really not doing great on slab. Phobia of height.

"Can we not waste time please?" Linda had the same phobia.

"Screw this" Aron jumped outside, on the slab "c'mon now Lil"

"Yeah I'm comin-"

Suddenly she heard a muffled voice from the other side of the AV room door "Lil! Hey"
Her subconscious doesn't even require a second to recognise the voice. Steve.
"Can you please open the door? I need to talk, to everyone"

Lil was like tangled in these invisible ropes. Her legs wouldn't support her. She was confused.

"Lil! What's taking so long!" Fred shouted from outside.

Lil needs to hurry. After everything here she is, already frozen with second thoughts about all the excuses Steve has right now. But how is he standing outside? With all the zombies? And still alive? Ha- right, obviously George has sent him again, with the same antidote Harold had. Good for you Steve but no more betrayal.
Lil stepped on the edge of the window.

"C'mon!" Aron pulled her down.

"You feeling any better?" Kim asked her.

"Yeah I guess all those drugs couldn't effect me much" Lil laughed "so? What now?"

"What do you mean? I thought you had an idea" Linda raised her eyebrows.

"God! If we survive this thing, we might need a freaking national award for making out alive without any strategy!" Kim screamed.

"Well I did make one, but that was destroyed, oh and, why? Because YOU people were fooled by my dearest Uncle!" Lil argued.

"Calm down everyone, please. You guys do realise that we're on the second floor without any gliders to dodge away from hungry people growling for us" Fred sighed.

"That's exactly what I wanted to say! Let's jump!" Lil said.

"Jump where exactly? Zombies are all gathering around" Tabitha was right..

All the zombies standing below were black eyed, hungry and were attacking eachother in order to fit in the crowd. They were looking up and growling at them.

"Wait why are they specifically looking at me?" Linda cried.

"Idiot! Not you, they're looking at Lil standing next to you" Aron said.

"But why?" Tabitha  wondered.

"Guess I'll have to find that out"  Lil said as she started getting into the position to jump.

"No! God knows how many categories are all mixed up now" Aron took her hand.

While this extreme stuck up conversation was going on here, Linda spotted the human pack at some distance. Why is she the one spots everything first?

"HEY! OVER HERE! MARIA! MICHAEL! LUKE!" Linda waved.

"Wait what? Luke? What are Hunters doing here?" Lil turned to Aron with "you-forgot-to-mention" eyes.

As soon as Maria spotted them on the second floor below the window, on a slab, "afraid-to-jump-but-will-fall-eventually" situation, she guided the MSSC and Hunters group towards the school.
Few were at the lab collecting whatever seemed useful. They had all the weapons in power. But seriously, could weapons stop the D-10s? That too so many of them.

"Weapons? Seriously?" Lil sighed, but as soon as she spotted the unexpected human, she burst out "GRETTA! What are you doing here?!"

Gretta said something but it was all muffled and inaudible because of all the distance. But thankgod, they were all coming.

"Plunic!" Fred literally cried "how could we forget about that! The hunters plucked the whole garden!"

At some distance..

They took a huge piece of cloth and tied up all the plunic leaves together. They made this huge bundle. And now the final thing? Light it up.

"Matches? Anybody has matches here?" Luke questioned as the others shook their head.

"Really? I asked you millions of times didn't I?Before leaving the house I was like did you keep everything? EVERYTHING? Are you sure?But no, you just don't pay any attention to me" Mary literally started lecturing her husband infront of so many humans as well as zombies "only I know how I'am handling you from past sixteen years Luke!"

"Uhm..Mary please calm down" Christan kind of tried pulling her away as soon as he noticed the zombie.

The zombies stopped their growling and were now paying complete attention to this lecture, like they were enjoying it. I guess they love watching the fights too, I mean where will the human nature go?
We all love drama, don't we?

"Here, use this lighter" Michael threw a blue lighter to Luke.

And just like that, the zombies returned back to their zombie work.
Luke lit the cloth roll as everybody stepped in to go for a huge throw.
It absolutely worked, the zombies started running away as if they and the plunic leaves were the similar poles of a magnetic.

"What was taking so long?" Lil questioned as she jumped.

"Nothing just an argument" Michael gave her a hand.

"Thankgod it didn't last forever" Fred and Linda jumped together.
They were followed by Tabitha, Kim and Aron.

"See? Heights aren't scary when you have a little support" Tabitha looked at Kim and Linda.

"Did you see? George has activated a radio frequency which can only be heard by the zombies, Lil heard it..." Fred was talking to Michael.

"Is that the reason  behind all the freaks heading here?" He replied.

"Gretta!" Lil didn't hesitate to hug her. She had so many pending hugs "and to everyone standing here, thankyou for coming and helping us out!"

Michael smiled "you have so many more surprises to discover"

"But nothing would compare to this one.." Lil sighed for the billionth time as she spotted Steve and George coming out of the building, heading towards them...
