"On the your left! Keep running!" Lil turned around to chop down a few heads.

Zombies are legit crazy here. Reminds me of Train to Busan or..World War Z. Yeah they are those kind of crack heads.
Slightly bent body, red yellowish eyes..faded Ash grey skin and a horrifying always hungry mouth. That's how I would define them.

Harold's eyes widened as he looked at Steve, they shared the same reaction to the unbelievable stamina and speed of this species.

"Is that a safe place?" Kim said, pointing at building.

"No! Yeah..kind of" Lil was unsure "but yeah, get inside!"

"Are you crazy Lil? Thats the asylum!" Aron pushed the gloomy zombie away and fell down with him.

"Get up!" Lil gave Aron a hand "I know that brother, but we're heading to the basement"

"Good then, I'll cover you, go Lil, guide them inside" Steve took her knife, and handed her the baseball bat.

"Get inside!" Lil stood outside letting everybody else in.

She kicked the zombie and finally closed the door.

"Now what? Are we stuck here?" Aron sighed "Like forever?"

"This place is huge... speaking the history" Fred was right, the basement itself was like huge huge.
Walls painted in blood, loads of case files, attendance charts, doctor profiles, all covered in spider webs.
"Now...it all makes sense to me" Fred looked Tabitha. She nodded.

"The first stage was normal, because that's how zombies are supposed to be, not too fast not too slow and not at all smart for sure. Then comes the second stage..the hospital zone, already injured and effected patients growing up to become slow and silent zombies. And now the third..an asylum? Crazy zombies, speed is yet to be defined though" Tabitha makes sense here.

"What about the fourth stage? How are they unbelievably clever?" Kimberly asked.

"Easy, that's exactly where it all started, it's closer to the lab, that's why they are the smartest ones, half humans, the best of its kind, the ones that got more nourishment" Aron looked away.

"Correct!!" Fred jumped "all we gotta do is to take the cure and get the hell outta this place, it's messed up"

"That's all okay but can you tell me who the hell threw a stone on that zombie and attracted his shit load of a joint family?" Lil rested her hand on her waist, in a questioning manner.

"Someone did? I don't know.. I thought it was an accident, no one saw anything though" Steve said as everyone nodded.

Lil gave one last look to everyone before sighing when her eyes got stuck on Linda..the culprit in the store, but then somewhere deep down she knew that a coward like Linda would never attract death nor will the rest, nobody would "fine.. I guess I just misinterpreted something"

"Hallucinating maybe" Aron chuckled as Lil raised a middle finger in air.

"Hey guys... I think I found a way out, I can see some towers there too" Tabitha jumped down the box she was standing on while exploring the window above.

"Yeah? Great we have the train station there and Fred here is good with machines, so.. anyway we can't open this door any sooner" Lil gave a look to the door which was continuously pushed by zombies on other side.

"Yesss! We should go now I don't think we have much time left" Kim said nervously and hurried towards the window "ewwwwwww!! ahhh!" She saw something and fell.

"What language was I speaking when I said I lead the way, nobody else" Lil sighed.

"What just happened ?" Fred asked.

"There's an intestine there, someone would've drop it while leaving through that window" Tabitha said casually.

"Yuckyyyy" Fred pretended to vomit.

"Thanks for the information Tab" Kim said, trembling. POOR.KIMBERLY.

"Well, this isn't as unhygienic as my cousins" Lil went to the window.

Linda who was plucking out something from her nails said "Hey! Why do I get the mocking everytime?"

"Because bitch you took my favourite Strawberry Sh-" Lil stopped as soon as she realised it was going to be embarassing "C'mon everybody, let's go"
She then, casually threw the intestine away.

"How do you do that..." Fred mumbled.

Everybody jumped out and started moving towards the towers when Lil suddenly realised Harold was nowhere to be found.
She ran back to the basement window.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing here?" She questioned in a rough tone when she saw him coming.

He raised his little finger.

"Seriously? Peeing? At this minute? C'mon dude, we need to hurry" She sighed the third time today.

"Hey I know that I'm being a little childish since yesterday, I'm sorry for that it's just I don't know how to handle such cute matters specially when it's about my feelings for you lately" Steve couldn't wait anymore to have this conversation with Lil

"It's all okay Steve, I know you and I'm sorry too for avoiding you since.."

"I completely understand, I shouldn't have.. I..I know you need more time to figure out everything, but I just want you to know that I really like you and this.. whatever we have isn't one sided, you know you felt something too last night" he said and walked away to catch up with Harold and others.

First time ever Lil was left speechless.
She was completely confused about her feelings for him, because she still loves- ...this isn't my story to tell either.

"Fred go! Get in the engine, start it" Lil whispered.

"Hey...I think I saw someone there" Linda pointed at the second floor of station.

"Zombie? Shit! He would attract everybody else now" Kim panicked.

"No...like a human..I don't know I think...I'm mistaken" Linda took her words back.

"Hurry now!" Steve was harsh this time. Lil wondered if it's because of her.

"Look!! That's a human!" Linda declared.

"Charlie?!" Kim said, surprisingly.

"Charlie..." Lil smiled.

**********************************************
Now who is this Charlie guy anyway?
How serious is his role?
This was the first time Lil didn't sigh at someone's entrance.
