George's P.O.V.

Although Linda and her daughter Heather were going to America regardless, Paul also happily agreed to accompany Lauren and Ollie to America and to be with the woman he loves and his adopted-daughter. We ended up changing plans and Mal, our bodyguard of sorts, went with them to America to keep them safe instead of him coming with me.

I knew that when I was in India I didn't quite need protection. There were no screaming girls or anyone from the press trying to take my picture as I walked about, usually.

I went to the airport and headed on an adventure hoping to find some type of fulfillment while there that would make me a better husband, father and musician.

To my surprise I saw a familiar face at the airport once the plane landed.

"George Harrison?" A beautiful blonde woman called out as she walked toward me. I squinted at her and then realized who she was. It was Patti Boyd, my ex girlfriend.

"Patti..." I said kind of in shock by seeing her, "what are you doing here?"

"You know I've always been interested in transcendental meditation," she said, "I've been coming on retreats here with the Maharishi on and off for the past year or so."

"Well I haven't been back since when I was here with John and our wives, early last year," I said to her.

"Oh right," she remembered I was married and gave a look, "how is Lauren?"

"My wife is doing good, she has been a great mother to our child and we're doing great," i continued the small talk briefly.

I started growing anxious that I was standing here alone in the airport with her as if we were the only two people left on earth. Nothing else was going on around us.

"Do you want to ride together?" She asked, assuming I was here for the same reason as she. Which, sadly I was.

"We probably shouldn't," I said to her. We had a history and I didn't want to be in close quarters with her, not when I had promised my wife I would be alone out here.

"Come on," she pleaded with me, "I don't bite."

I rolled my eyes. She was definitely being flirty with me and I knew her intentions weren't going to be that pure.

I again denied her and chose to get a different ride into town.

Once I arrived at the retreat I unloaded my bags that I had packed lightly and had my instruments carried to my room. Then I met with some old friends from the village who I was able to converse with about life and religion.

I was truly happy and felt so focused on what it was I wanted to accomplish while I was here.

The time difference between Lauren and I was insane. We decided to communicate via calling home to my parents and leaving messages with them in Liverpool to deliver to one another when we were able to call.

This worked for both of us rather than adding any type of stress or worry in trying to reach the other person.

After a long day of travel I felt exhausted and went back to the room I'd be staying in. Of course on my way I once again bumped into Patti who was outside of her room sitting cross legged on a bench looking up at the stars.

I passed her by and she said nothing this time. I was glad, but then I wondered if I had offended her. I shouldn't care but at the same time I was proud of her for coming out here as often as she does so she could be one with herself.

She herself is a model back in London. I had met her while filming one of our Beatle movies years ago and we had a short fling but nothing really came of it. We parted ways when I was in America on tour, after I had been unfaithful many times.
