Lauren's P.O.V.
I boarded our private jet to Los Angeles and felt sad that I was leaving George behind. When I had decided to marry him I had been vulnerable and needed him more than I've needed anyone ever before.
Now I felt like I was in control of my life.
Now I was ready to regain my sense of self and branch out into who I deserve to be. I just hope that George understands this and will allow me to find my path in life and still love and support me.
He did allow me to take our son with me to Los Angeles for three weeks.
"What's the plan when we land?" Mal asked us all as we got closer. He was here as a body guard of sorts for me and the kids. Linda would be okay at work but I'd have people flocking everywhere I go. Paul was already planning a disguise.
"Well I have to go straight to work," Linda said. "Heather is going to stay with Lauren and Paul."
"And Ollie," I said squeezing his cheeks. He was seriously the cutest little guy. He looks just like his father and it makes me so happy.
"Lauren are you going to take a day to relax or are we going to walk right into a fashion studio?" Paul asked. He was encouraging me to chase my dreams more than anyone and Linda smiled at this.
"I'm ready to hit the ground running," I said in reply and it was the truth.
"That's our girl," Paul said excitedly.
Another couple hours passed and I had a sleeping Ollie on me when we landed in Los Angeles. We had a driver waiting for us and he first drove us all to capitol records in Hollywood where Linda was going to do some of her photography this morning. We drove into the gates and saw a familiar face out near the back entrance talking to somebody.
"Glyn," Paul said out the window as our car came to a halt. He didn't know who had called his name at first but then realized he knows Paul's voice from anywhere.
"Are you here with Linda?" He asked without even saying his name as he walked to the limousine to look in.
"We have an entourage," he said as Linda stepped out and hugged him. He in turn got inside the limo to say hello as she ran off to get to work. We got in a little late and the magazine shoot was waiting on her.
"Hello Mal," he said of our road manager and then turned to me, "and Lauren....Harrison."
He winked at me, poking fun at the fact that I had been so adamant about being George's wife the day I met him at the recording studio.
"Where is George?" he then asked.
"He couldn't make it," Paul answered for me and Glyn looked confused but then spoke again.
"Well that's a shame, but it's a pleasure having you guys out in LA," he continued to look at me, "maybe we could get together some time while we're all here. I return in 3 weeks now that the Beatles got into some trouble."
So he heard about the drug bust.
"We have nine lives," Paul said and the men all laughed.
I found Glyn Johns to be super fascinating. I normally would turn to George and ask him if he thought I should invite him to dinner so we could get to know him better but George wasn't here, and probably would reply "what for?"
Suddenly, Ollie crawled away from me and toward Glyn who was sitting a few feet away.
"Well hey there, little guy..." he smiled at my son then turned back to our conversation, "We have to see more of each other while we are all here, I had thought it would just be Linda but now we have enough of us for a party."
