Lauren's P.O.V.
I was extremely excited to be spending the day with Glyn today and to visit his home just north of London.
He is one of my favorite people and I was happy to be able to help him get his home ready to sell. Although that meant he'd be leaving but he's back and forth so often that it didn't scare me at all that he was thinking about leaving back to L.A. soon.
"You ready, love?" He asked as we got into his car and he got ready to drive.
"Yes Mr. Johns," I nodded and he smiled at me as if my presence next to him alone just made him the happiest man.
I thought back for a moment of the day I met him and then how our bond grew out in L.A. before blossoming into just the best friendship between us.
As we drove we chatted about his sister Rose who lives out in America with her husband. She moved there because of his career and they have two young sons that Glyn doesn't get to see that often.
Glyn and his sister only had each other growing up, and as she had been 10 years older than him she took on a lot of responsibility in raising him. To this day he looks to her as more like a mother figure and role model in his life.
He has so many friends and has accomplished so much in life but there's no one he loves more than Rose.
"I can't believe you haven't been to my home yet," Glyn said to me as we got closer to arriving.
"I mean, I spent a lot of my time the last few months absolutely missing you.... If I were home we would have been together a lot more."
He then drove in silence and I didn't know if I had said something wrong. I knew sometimes we had to dance around the fact that our friendship felt forbidden since I was a married women and pregnant.
When we arrived I was amazed by the quaint look of his home.
He had a front gate that had a code to get in and then a winding road in and then his house stood down in a small valley on his property.
"Welcome to my home," he said before jumping out and walking around to help me out of the passenger seat.
I followed him inside and my jaw dropped. It was absolutely spotless inside with top notch art work and platinum records lining the walls.
"Does it get lonely?" I asked him and he contemplated how to answer and then I realized he was a bachelor and he must have women here often. I knew that wasn't something he wanted to discuss with me.
"Define lonely," he finally said as he walked me to his loft on the second floor that overlooked most of the lower level.
"Being single and working so much," I clarified.
He sat me down and poured me a glass of water before answering.
"Lauren, I can't explain this feeling that I have when you're around me. It's the best feeling," he said, "the person I've always searched for is you, in every way but I can't have you as more than a friend and so I could wait to see if another you ever comes along."
I gulped.
Why was I so attached?
I got up and walked over to him and sat in his lap and he just held me tight.
"Wanting to be near you, spending time with you, it feels wrong cause I have feelings that I have to keep inside," Glyn said, "but I can't live without you so I make sacrifices."
"I met George and we rushed into everything," I said, "and then you come along and I honestly think everything turned upside down....you are my soul mate."
