Lauren's P.O.V.
A few months passed and suddenly we found ourselves celebrating Ollie's birthday and ringing in the new year on the same night.
I have been working hard on a new fashion line here at the London Fashion studio and I am once again going to allow esteemed Fashion photographer Irwin Parker to photograph me in the coming weeks for an upcoming show I'm producing. I could have had Linda do it since she is a professional herself, but there is something sentimental with Mr. Parker.
He had introduced me to the Beatles in the first place and set up the meeting that changed the course of my life forever.
I smirked at the thought and was grateful. I was also grateful that my pregnancy hasn't been showing much just yet so once again, I haven't told the world yet. We are thinking about telling the world at my Show at the end of January in New York.
The Beatles also were about to film a tv special coming up in January and they will be writing new songs to showcase. It's going to be a few weeks of writing and rehearsing and then doing a live performance of their songs. It will be the closest thing to a live performance for their fans that they have done together in years, other than last year right before Ollie was born. And for once, my husband is actually excited.
He has been playing and performing in New York with Bob Dylan and The Band and got a taste for live performing again and has been on a high from it.
Big things were happening for myself as well. I had my new personal assistant Annie by my side the last few months helping me with Ollie and traveling with me, Ollie and George.
In New York, I attended fashion shows and met with other designers while George played his music and in only four short weeks, right after the big Beatles television special, we are all flying back to New York City for a special fashion show where Glyn Johns and I will be modeling my designs.
Everything I ask of Glyn he is down for and since he's a part of this huge upcoming Beatles project as producer, we needed it to be over before the show so he could freely travel, but for today it's celebration time and then it's work for all of us.
I walked up to George's meditation room and watched him doing his yoga and meditations.
I don't normally like interfering with his time alone, especially when he's chanting or relaxing but he saw me and he got up and smiled at me.
"Lolo," he said "are you ready to celebrate Ollie and forget everything round us for a night?"
"More than anything," I shook my head yes.
In just a couple hours all of our friends will be here for the birthday party and then we are going to have a New Years party in the evening until we ring in the New Year.
Paul and Linda came a little early with Heather to help us decorate and Ollie was up and walking all around. It amazes me how fast he is growing and I want time to slow down. I touched my stomach and thought about the new little baby that would be here in 5 or so months and smiled.
"What are you smiling about?" George asked me as he put up a happy birthday sign. I was sitting near him on our sofa.
"I'm just happy. Ollie's birthday, a new year, a hot husband, my fashion show," I rattled off things that were joyous.
"I like this Lauren a lot," he said as he leaned down to kiss me and then kept decorating.
Linda walked in next and sat down next to me.
"I'm happy that you're happy," she said to me, "we all want that for you."
"You too," I said, "you are beyond blessed to have Paul in your life. This next year will be good to you I'm sure."
