Lauren's P.O.V.
Have fun with Dada," I said dropping off my son to the home I once called my own.
Ollie will be staying with George this weekend since Glyn and I were taking a quick trip to Paris to check on his place there and get his recording studio closed down for now. He wouldn't be working in Paris in the foreseeable future and also just wanted to bring me there to have a romantic weekend, including dinner at one of his favorite restaurants.
George had no problem watching Ollie and although I felt guilty for leaving him for a weekend, I knew I needed time alone with Glyn. He was finally able to walk again, with his crutches, and things were slowly falling back into how things were between us before the accident. Also, his work ethic and how fast he wants to get back to recording and mixing amazes me.
Once we got back it would be exactly one week until the McCartney wedding and then off to America shortly after.
First we flew into the airport on his private airplane and then took a limousine to his loft apartment in the city.
"Welcome to the city of love," he said grabbing my hand as we sat in the limo. I couldn't help but think about how his first instincts when we were in the snowstorm was to shield my body with his own. I flinched at the thought.
"What is it?" he asked when I went deep into thought about how much I love him.
"Thank you," was all I could think to say to him, and I could tell he understood.
"I will always protect you when given the chance," he pulled me closer to him and just kept his arm around me.
Then we slowly came to a stop at our destination and I helped him out.
"You can pick us back up around 7," he said to the driver before tipping him and slowly walking me inside the building.
"Mr. Johns," a man greeted us upon our entrance. I wondered how long ago he had last been here. He obviously is well known by the staff here, "And Lauren Harrison... no?"
This was my cue to want to run and hide. The man at the front desk had recognized me and if he chose to he could contact reporters and have my affair with Glyn on the cover of every newspaper by morning. Little does anyone know, in a matter of weeks I am going to be divorced and living with Glyn in America. Traveling the world with him was already one of my favorite things to do.
"She's one of my best friends," Glyn nodded to the man, "Very lucky to both be standing here in front of you here today."
"Ah, yes.." he then said, "I followed the news of the accident. They say you two are both a walking miracle."
"Right they are," I nodded kindly to him, it was a miracle.
Glyn then led me down a back hallway where we took an elevator up to the highest floor where Glyn owned the entire top loft.
"This.... is..... nice," I said unsure of how to describe it. It was huge, and so clean and well decorated.
"Do I continue to amaze you?" he asked me with a smirk.
"Have you spent much time here in the past?" I asked him, wondering when he had time to be here.
He looked at me for a moment and then smirked.
"Could I be honest with you?" He asked me, looking like he wasn't sure if he should be.
"Of course," I assured him.
"I used to fly here on a whim for a weekend or so from time to time. I would bring women back here to impress them."
This started to get me jealous but I knew he wasn't intending for that to happen, he just wanted to tell me the truth.
