Lauren's P.O.V.

"Any minute now," were the first words I heard when I started to come to.

I opened up my eyes to bright lights and beeping noises. My vision was blurred but as I looked around things became more clear.

I realized I was in a hospital but I was trying to figure out what had happened to find myself here.

I started to try and get up and was in too much pain to move so I retreated back to laying here helpless.

"Lolo?" George grabbed my hand after seeing me try to move, "oh thank the lord."

Upon hearing this I grew emotional. George was here and whatever had happened he was grateful I was okay. I turned my head to see that he was beside me, as well as my mom and Linda.

"Mom?" I asked in disbelief. I knew we were in England and I wondered how she had gotten here so fast. I couldn't have been asleep that long.

"Yes, honey," she said with tears in her eyes, "I am here my beautiful girl."

"What..." I started to ask but it was hard to talk, "what... hap... pened?"

They all looked at each other and didn't know what to say.

"Let me go get a doctor," Linda jumped up looking like she was ready to burst into tears and left the room.

I thought hard about what happened and then started getting little flashes.

"The rooftop," I said to George and then remembered, "it was cold."

"Yes," he squeezed my hand, "you were in an accident afterwards."

A flash came through of Glyn holding me as our car skidded from the road.

"Glyn..." I said out loud and I started crying, "where is he? Please tell me he's okay!"

I became extremely distressed and tried to get up again. And before George could respond the doctor rushed to my side with Linda. Everyone now stood around the bed.

"Lauren," the doctor said, "it is a miracle that you are here with us today but we have been taking good care of you and hope to get you on your feet in the next day or so now that you are awake."

I ignored the doctor and again turned to George and then to my mom and Linda.

"Can someone tell me what happened?" I begged them, "I remember being with Glyn... we were driving with... Annie...and there was a bad snow storm."

Suddenly I remembered my unborn child and my hands shot to my abdomen.

I looked back at George.

He started to cry and again Linda lost it and left the room.

My mom was now holding my hand as the doctor told me the bad news.

"We don't want to rush this bad news on you since you just woke up," the doctor said "but this one is reality for you right now."

"We lost... the baby?" I looked from the doctor over to George.

He nodded and tears welled in his eyes as he kissed my head and then held me as I started to sob uncontrollably. I let him hold me because I knew he had lost this precious life too.

The doctor freed me from the strong hold of my husband for a moment to check my vital signs and then said he would return with a nurse in a little while. Apparently they had done a few surgeries on me to stop some minor bleeding but that I was lucky to have made it out without anything worse.
