Lauren's P.O.V.

After careful consideration, I agreed with George that he should get some extended time with Ollie before I take him to Los Angeles for the summer.

He was going to take him tomorrow to Liverpool to see his parents and stay for the rest of the week, but today we are supposed to meet to sign our divorce papers. This was something I was having a hard time coming to terms with only because George and I have so many fond memories but we just aren't the same people we were.

"Let's take a trip, we don't have to stay here," Glyn said holding me in our hotel bed.

We are staying in London in a penthouse for the time being before the move overseas. Glyn was officially moved out of the house he had built and in a week or so George was going to be moving in. He even had a buyer on our house and that was hard to swallow.

All of our memories.... gone.

"Laur?" I heard Glyn trying to get my attention.

I quickly snapped out of my thought and looked up at him.

"Where should we go?" I asked him... "back to Paris?"

"Point your finger on a map and wherever it lands we will go," he said full of positivity.

"How romantic," I said smiling, "but you're not.. serious."

It seemed crazy to do something like that on a whim.

"Of course not," he smiled back, "but I do have the means to take us anywhere you desire."

I thought about how I have been to places I've always wanted to go and the only place I desired to be was back in LA.

"Let's just go to Los Angeles now," I said to him, "we could see what life will be like and then come back for Ollie."

"I'll go make some phone calls," he stood up and walked to the other room.

I just laid in the big bed alone and thought about how life is changing so drastically. I thought some more about how it was that I ended up here in England when America was my home.

The reason George and I stayed here after we got married was because of the Beatles. The band that made him a household name and made him loved by millions of people across the world. It wasn't just because he was George Harrison, or because Paul was Paul McCartney, or John was John Lennon or Ringo was Ringo for that matter... it was because they were collectively The Beatles.

When I met them they were at the height of their popularity and had just returned from touring across America. They couldn't even walk down the street without a swarm of fans chasing them and not one of us is the same as we were then.

John got divorced and is to be remarried soon to a woman that he loves so deeply it transcends everyone's ability to understand. Despite the tension that's sometimes there, I'm very happy for him and his happiness.

Paul and his girlfriend Jane broke up just in time for Linda to walk into his life and change it forever. They are now married and starting a family and will never change their minds about loving each other.

Ringo is married to Maureen now and whether their marriage lasts or not, since Ringo is now also going to be an actor, they are currently happy with the life they are living with their little family.

That leaves George and I.

We are about to sign papers today to divorce and he's no longer the young, go with the flow, makes rash decisions type of guy. He currently is more refined, relaxed, calm, thoughtful to the point of not ever expressing what his own needs are. He is also ready to explore life without the Beatles more than any one of the guys.
