"Two more weeks"

Today was the Monday after the Monaco Grand Prix and we were ready to leave in order to go to the airport. Our wedding was in two weeks on Saturday 12th of June and we had decided to be married in Mytilini, in the end. We thought it would be the perfect place not only because I was born there but because almost one year ago we had said our first "I love you" there and plus, we would be able to enjoy the most magnificent and unforgettable sunset.

"Good morning Charles" I said when I saw him coming from the kitchen with a cup of coffee. "Good morning mon amour." "Our last two weeks as an engaged couple began today" "I am so excited. I am looking forward to marrying you. How do you feel that we are going to get married in Mytilini?" "Honestly I am so happy. I have always dreamt of getting married there. I also wanted to replace some awful memories with new and amazing ones. I am glad you agreed to that place" "Of course and to tell you the truth I didn't think that Monaco was the most suitable place for a wedding but Mytilini is just the perfect option. I loved it from the first time I visited you and I can't forget that we said our first "I love you" there."

"So when are your mother and brothers going to come?" "Their flight is next Monday, however they would have to leave two days after the wedding." "Arthur has a race in F3 doesn't he?" "Yes.." he said looking away from me. "Charles, look at me" He slowly started looking in my direction. "I know that you would have to leave too. I am not mad or something. I understand." "I didn't want to leave three days after our wedding mon amour. I wanted us to go on our honeymoon." "I know but we can go during the summer holidays and in that way we would be able to enjoy it much more. You must go to Baku and try to win as you always do. And when I get some time off of work I am going to come with you at the races." "And when I thought I couldn't love you more you prove me wrong." "That's my job love" I said and we started laughing.

Our morning passed drinking coffee on the balcony and talking about the wedding. We would leave Tuesday morning so we spent our whole afternoon packing and organising our things. Luckily my wedding dress was in Mytilini and I wouldn't have to worry how I would carry it. I hadn't seen the final dress yet but I knew it would be perfect. In the evening, we decided to go to the cinema as we hadn't been to the cinema for a very long time. However, we went to sleep early in order to be able to wake up on time tomorrow morning.

It was around 8:30 am when we woke up and we had to be at the airport at 10:00 so we didn't have time to have breakfast. But on our way to the airport, we grabbed a cup of coffee to energise ourselves. We arrived there at 9:30, finished with security and finally ate something for breakfast. I chose a plain smoothy ball whereas Charles chose a sandwich. After a while we boarded on the plane and our flight would begin. Charles and I did a variety of things in our 6 hours flight. At first we played some chess on his phone but I was so bad that I quited after 6 rounds. Then while I was reading a new book Charles was reviewing some papers Ferrari had given him for the next race.

In the middle of the flight, the flight attendants gave us our food which was a delicious salad and chicken fillet along with rice. We also chose to drink Coca Cola with our meal. After 6 tiring hours we finally landed in Lesvos but we needed an extra hour to get our luggage, find my Audi and get to my apartment. We haven't been there for a long time. Last time we stayed there was right before our engagement in Monza. Truth to be told the apartment in Monaco suited us better as it was closer to a lot of things concerning our work.

At about 6:00 p.m. we had already arrived at our apartment and I started cleaning it while Charles helped me with the laundry. The positive was that we wouldn't need to unpack our things because tomorrow we would go to the mansion we rented just for the wedding. We only saw it in photographs so we were excited to see it tomorrow in person. We decided to not only live there until the wedding but to host it as well. However, we had booked another place for the after party which had the best view of the sea and the location was ideal. I was so happy that we managed to organise a whole wedding in such a short period of time.
