"She finally took her life into her own hands."

I woke up and I realised that Charles wasn't next to me. At first I was taken by surprise. I had gotten used to waking up in his arms and now he wasn't there. Finally after five minutes the mystery was solved. He had woken before me and went to get us breakfast in bed. He was so sweet as always. I couldn't believe how much I loved him. He was my world.

"Good morning sweety." he said. "Good morning. Where were you?" I asked. "I had gone to get us food so we could have breakfast in bed. Did you like my idea?" "I loved it. You are the best person I could ask for." "I know. Now let's eat before it gets cold." he said and we began eating.

After we finished our breakfast we started packing our things so that we could leave tonight. Charles had decided to go to Monaco first to finish some work he had with Ferrari and prepare his things. Then we would come back to Greece in order for me to pack my luggage and to tell my parents the news. After we would have finished, we would go to Santorini for two weeks. I needed this vacation so much. I was tired both physically and mentally all those months that I was married to George and I didn't see Charles. It was too difficult pretending to be cold hearted and alright when I wasn't. I couldn't remember how many breakdowns I had when George wasn't at home. At those moments I had realised how much I depended on Charles to make my pain go away. Of course I could call him but I thought that it would have been best for us not to talk and especially in the condition I was in, as I would have made him feel sad and he would have wanted to come here when he should have focused on his job.

We finished our packing early and we decided to go out in order to eat. It was lovely outside. The weather was warm but there was a slight breeze that made the atmosphere perfect. As we were walking down the streets we saw a lot of people. It was nice watching parents trying to control their children who only wanted to run. I wish I could have this with Charles. Guessing from the way he speaks to his young fans I think he would be such an amazing father. "I would like to have a daughter, you know" he told me. "I think a daughter would suit you." I replied. "You think so?" "Yes, I know that you will be an amazing father Charles." "You know, I want a daughter because I only have brothers but I believe that a little girl would change me forever. I would try to be the best father in the world and I will always be there for her." he said more to himself. It was great seeing this side of him that it doesn't have to do with work. "I couldn't agree more Charles." He turned to me and he kissed me softly. "I love you Anna." "I love you Charles Leclerc."

We then sat at a wonderful restaurant. We chose to eat steaks which were delicious. Of course we couldn't forget our red wine. After we enjoyed our meal we returned to our hotel, grabbed our luggage and went to the airport. We quickly passed security and boarded on the plane. It was only 10 o'clock but I was exhausted. Soon after we boarded we took off. The flight was two and a half hours to Nice and then we would have to drive for another twenty minutes to Monte Carlo. This would be the first time I would be staying in Charles' apartment. I was so curious, especially about the piano. "Sleep our flight will be long. I will wake you when we land." "Ok but you should rest as well. I can drive us to Monaco." "No it will be far too late to let you drive. Look I know that you are a good driver but you need to rest and it is dangerous driving that late." "Ok" I said and went to sleep on Charles' shoulder.

Two and a half hours later Charles woke me up telling me that we had landed. We took our luggage and Charles started driving us at Monaco. I felt so bad. The time was 1 a.m. and he looked exhausted. It wasn't good for him but every time I asked if I could drive he refuse. "Anna" he said putting his hand on my thigh. "After what happened with George I can bear the thought of someone driving the car you are in. I feel less anxious when I know I am driving because I have quick reflexes and I can avoid things. So please let me drive." "Oh Charles. You don't need to feel that way. What happened is in the past and I am here with you now." "I know." he said and we didn't speak again during the travel.

Finally at 1:30 a.m. we arrived in Charles' apartment. It was huge with a spectacular view of the sea. It was white with minimalistic decorations which I liked. His grand piano was beautiful, white with golden details. I could not wait to hear him play. "So here we are. Do you like it?" "Yes, I love it. It was just like I imagined it. It suits you, you know." "Really?" "Yes" "I am happy you like it. However I think now we need to go to sleep. It is late." "Yes absolutely" I said and he showed me his bedroom. It was a large room with a double bed, a wardrobe and a big mirror. We put on our pijamas and laid on the bed. He held me tightly making me fall asleep faster. I was already half asleep when I heard him say "Goodnight mon amour."

"She couldn't wait to spend her life with him."
