Stiles stood alongside Scott for football tryouts. Stiles, Scott, Isaac, and Liam had already made their new lacrosse team.

But for some odd reason, Scott wanted them to also join the football team. Liam decided not to try out and only focus on lacrosse.

After Coach witnessed what Peter had done at lunch, he forced him into being the quarterback. Which Tyler wasn't too happy about.

Stiles stood on the field feeling the blazing heat on his bare back. Sweat beaded down his chest as he looked down at the grass.

"Try to get Wide Receiver or Running Back, Stiles. Isaac already has Tight End in his pocket." Scott told Stiles smacking him lightly in the chest.

"Why do you want me on this team so bad, Scott? Most of the team is clearly built of either super athletic or supernatural people. I'm just a guy." Stiles voiced.

"You're not just a guy, Stiles. You're the guy. You've got this. You're faster than you give yourself credit for, dude. We've all seen you run back home." Scott stated.

"You got some real speed. That's why Coach likes you on the lacrosse team. Because he knows he can count on you to make it down the field fast." Scott added.

"Come on. You got this." Scott said jogging off.

Stiles let out a sigh before looking over to see a group of girls trying out for the cheerleading squad.

He spotted Elena and watched her perform her routine as she danced beside Caroline, Lydia, Allison, and Bonnie.

"Stilinski! Get your head on straight!" Coach shouted after blowing his whistle.

Stiles turned his head away from Elena to look at Coach down the field. Elena turned her attention to Stiles at the mention of his last name.

She watched him with interest as he placed the football helmet over his head and jogged lightly over to the others. Stiles lined up beside Scott and his friends.

He faced Tyler as Peter made the call and Stiles darted forward. Tyler tried his best to cover him but Stiles proved to be too agile for Lockwood.

Stiles, himself, was impressed by his newfound athleticism as he evaded the defense.

Stiles checked over his shoulder cutting across the field  as Tyler chased after him.

Stiles watched the ball fly towards him before he caught it in his left hand, much to his surprise.

He spun around Tyler before running to the end zone.

"Nice! That's what I like to see, Stilinski! That! Is what! I like! To see! Yes!" Coach shouted in celebration.

Elena smiled as Stiles celebrated with Scott and Isaac. His friends were just as surprised by the amazing catch as he had been.

"Kid's got skills." Bonnie told Elena standing beside her with a smile. "Yeah...seems like he's just as surprised about them." Elena voiced watching him take off the helmet.

Elena watched Stiles before he looked over at her. They locked eyes with one another. They stared for a few seconds.

Elena's heart jumped and skipped a few beats as she took in a deep breath.

Stiles was pulled away by his friends before he could wave a hand at her.

He looked over his shoulder for one final look and was happy to discover that she was still watching him.

He looked away smiling to himself as he headed to the locker room.

Elena and Stiles weren't the only ones feeling butterflies in their stomachs.

Peter had a difficult time focusing on the throwing the ball because he kept watching Allison during cheerleading tryouts.

Meanwhile Caroline...was a mess. She accidentally smacked Bonnie in the face with her Pom Pom because she kept looking back at Isaac.

"I am so sorry!" Caroline apologized covering her mouth with her hand. "It's okay, Caroline." Bonnie told her with a chuckle.

Lydia had zoned out completely. She was staring off into the distance. "Lydia? Hey, are you okay?" Allison sounded shaking her best friend lightly.

Lydia pulled her head away from where she was staring to look at Allison with furrowed brows. "What? Yes, I'm fine. Totally and completely fine. Why?" Lydia answered.

Lydia left with the others before looking over her shoulder hoping to find the blonde stranger standing by the parking lot. But he was gone. Vanished without a trace.

Who was that? Lydia thought to herself.
