Cleo and Teph got up at first light, packed their things and set off to meet Lenin, who preferred to go home for the night.
Kia was still asleep, so they quietly left the hut and headed for the educational sector, at the other end of the city.
When they arrived there they found Lenin sitting while waiting for them, he had the same affable attitude as usual, greeting passing passers-by and old acquaintances.
Lenin was always a respected general of the guard, not for his victories, but for his attitude towards the people, he never felt superior to others, in a way, he felt he was at the service of the people.
"Hello, Lenin," greeted Teph. Lenin got up and walked over to where they were standing, "Good morning, how are you feeling?".
"Well, yesterday could have been worse, it ended well after all," Cleo seemed like a rock, hard to crack, to a certain extent she was, but inside she always put others ahead of herself.
"Aren't you going to tell him anything? You would have given me a good lecture," Teph loved to prod Cleo over anyone else, surely because of Cleo's cold, straight temperament.
"Little boys have to be taught to behave," Cleo smiled broadly as she watched Teph eat his own pride.
After Cleo's mother disappeared, Lenin became her father figure, he cared for her as if she had been his daughter, as much as Sara and Lenin were friends no one knows why he made that decision the way he did. Every time Lenin looked at Cleo you could see pride and happiness, but, only in certain occasions, in certain moments, you could perceive regret?
Teph and Cleo sighed when they saw the place where they were, the educational sector. In itself the sector was not a cause for unhappiness, in fact, it was a magnificent place, all the knowledge and history known within the walls was within reach of all who wanted to access them.
But as with everything good, some people clung to it, as if it made up their whole personality, their whole world. Historians, scientists, engineers and masters of languages were mostly nice people, but behind their trail of creativity and knowledge hid the naive and the know-it-alls, people who did not love the knowledge or the inventions they or others created, but people who clung to be right, and using that feeling of superiority drove away the people who truly believed in what it all represented.
And there was no place in all of Klempey with more people like that than in the great library, a place where the three guardians reluctantly approached.
At the door of the magnificent library stood a small, newly installed office, the three approached it to see what it was all about.
"What do you want?" the receptionist asked reluctantly when he saw that they were wearing the guard outfits. Behind the receptionist stood another library worker, unlike her colleague, she did not look downcast, in fact, she looked at their costumes with curiosity in her eyes.
"We come in search of information, since when has it been necessary to give explanations to enter the Great Library?", Lenin was not happy with the atmosphere that had been taking the sector in recent years, But having to give explanations to be able to enter the library?, if those who built the library saw what it ended up becoming, they would exhale a cry of pain.
"It's not necessary, but we've had a lot of thefts lately, and having a couple of guards snooping around is suspicious," the receptionist replied haughtily.
"Have there been thefts in the Great Library? Why haven't you reported them? The guard would be happy to help, especially such an important institution as this one is...", The receptionist motioned for Lenin to shut up, "You guards are all simpletons, not everything that is stolen is physical".
