THE DOCTOR was right, the tests only took a few hours, but it honestly felt a lot shorter than that to me. Most likely because I was fading in and out of consciousness the entire time, but the doctors and nurses didn't seem to mind.

The doctor who came into my room this morning, who's name I learned to be Doctor Yuuki Teuchi, was now reviewing over my results. A slightly puzzled look was plastered onto his face, which made me concerned. He murmured multiple things, just aiding his confusion.

After a while, I couldn't stand the complicated silence. "Whats it say?" I asked as nicely as I could, my finger tapping against the mattress below me.

He flipped another paper, not looking at me, but clearly addressing me. Aizawa had been released this morning, so it was just me and the doctors from here on out.
"It's really confusing, to be quite honest with you. When we brought you in, multiple internal organs of yours were severely damaged, we honestly thought you were dead."

He paused in his explanation, finally deciding to look up at me. "Those organs were just barely stable enough to keep you alive. They should've never healed completely." He turned his clipboard towards me, showing me all of the test results. "But they're already almost fully healed."

I scanned through the paper, the same confusion flooding over me. "That doesn't make any sense, my quirk has nothing to do with healing," I explained, looking straight towards him. Yes, I did feel a lot better over this past week I've been here, but I didn't think it was because of this.

He nodded, rolling his chair over to me and looking at the paper, pointing towards a few things. "It might not be, but I want to look into it more. Your bones are healing a lot slower than your organs, but even so you should be out of these casts in about a week and a half." I looked at him, even more confused than before. He looked at me and his eyes softened, I could tell he was feeling pity for me.

Not pity, stupid. He feels sympathetic towards you.

Do you know anything about this?

No. . .

Liar.

Doctor Yuuki smiled at me, patting my hand in an attempt to calm my nerves. "Hey, don't worry. We'll run a couple more tests, with your quirk as well, and we'll figure this out," He spoke, his voice soft and sweet. A part of him reminded me of my father, the parts I could remember at least. Even though he was out for work a lot, he had always been kind and gentle to me.

I nodded to the doctor as he stood up, going to check my vitals. "Doctor Yuuki, may I ask you something? It's a bit on a personal level," My voice broke whatever silence there was between us. Doctor Yuuki smiled to me and nodded, tapping the screen in front of him. "Do you have any kids, or family outside of here?"

He looked at me with a slight confusion, a small smile still prominent on his face. "Well I don't have any kids yet, but I have a fiancé. We're supposed to be married next month," He smiled at the thought of his significant other, seemingly in a better mood than before.
