Bellamy quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me to the drop ship where Clarke was standing, as we entered Raven was back to laying down Finn by her side. "So, how the hell do we do this?" Clarke asked about the fact we were about to take on a war with over 100 grounders.
"We've got 25 rifles with 20 rounds each, give or take. Roughly 500 rounds of ammo. While you two were gone, we made some improvements. Thanks to Raven, the gully is mined." "Partially mined. Thanks to Murphy." Raven grunted, "I also took the liberty to make silencers for the guns." Everyone but raven eyed me with amazement.
"Do they work?" I nodded at Clarke "Tested the first one I made." "What made you think to do that?" Finn asked curiously "Guns are loud and though they echo once they're fired it isn't hard to pinpoint where it came from. This way when we shoot a grounder they'll be stunned and look around giving us a chance to attack."
Bellamy smirked at me and I knew he was proud, "Grenades were also built but that was all Raven." Clarke nodded "If the grounders make it through the front gate, guns and grenades should force them back." Bellamy informed everyone.
"And then?" "Then we close the door and pray" Raven spoke catching me off guard Clarke seemed to agree as she scoffed "And pray what? That the ship keeps them out? Because it won't."
"I'm not risking my life on a prayer look how far it's gotten us." Bellamy nodded "Then let's not let them get through the gate." He took the radio in his hands and spoke through it with determination "All foxholes, listen up. Keep your eyes and ears open. Inflict casualties, as many as possible. You can hold them off long enough to make them turn back. That's the plan."
"That's always your plan, just like the bomb at the bridge." I crossed my arms at Finn's words "It's better then no plan." "Damn right. You got a better idea?" Bellamy snapped at Finn.
"It can't be that simple. You said there's fuel in those rockets, right? Enough to build 100 bombs." Clarke asked eyeing Raven and I as we nodded
"I also said we've got no gunpowder left." Raven reminded but I had a better idea "We don't need gun powder. What if we wanted to blast off instead? Bring the grounders close fire the rockets. Burn them to a crisp."
"Ring of fire." Raven breathed out.
"Barbecued grounders. I like it." Bellamy nodded "Will it work?" Finn asked causing my to scoff "It's a space ship it's job is meant to blast off. It'll work."
"You give me enough time, I'll cook them real good." Raven confidently spoke, she then looked at me "That was a good idea." I nodded my head "Fire is my solution for almost everything."
Raven chuckled softly "That's why I like you."
...................................................................
I left the drop ship and was passing out the guns I had built a silencer on, I made sure I found the people in camp with the best aim and suggested we take higher ground with them.
"Aim to kill, take higher ground so you don't risk being seen. Once you take one down and the others are looking around that will be the sign for the foxholes to shoot." They all nodded and ran off.
Raven was in the drop ship and telling Finn and Clarke what to look for to get the rockets ready, I wasn't helping with that as I didn't feel confident enough to get it done on time.
Octavia came up to me and made sure my head was ok. It was. I had so much adrenaline I had forgotten all about it.
Octavia and I made our way outside the wall, yes it was stupid. But maybe we could see what we were up against. Maybe even take a few out while we were at it.
