Sorry it's a bit later than usual!
Neither of the boys were happy about forfeiting a day of training. They both begged and pleaded and bargained. But we stood our ground. Which brings us to Katsuki yelling at me from the sidelines of a game Tenya and I were playing.
I couldn't copy his quirk, but we helped each other train regardless. We were basically playing tag, only I was stuck in one spot and Tenya could go anywhere. He had to use his quirk to tag me, and I had to try to tag him first to get my reflex speed up.
"Quicker, Hina! He's right there!"
"Easy for you to say!" An exasperated sigh came from my lips as I missed my target once again and a firm hand pressed against my shoulder.
"Thirty-two for me and four to you, if I remember correctly!"
"When do you not remember correctly?" I grumbled, watching Tenya walk back into the trees to restart the game.
"Ha! You're getting your ass handed to you by four-eyes!" Kat cackled as I sent a glare in his direction. "I could come and show you how it's done if you want?"
"Absolutely not! You need to rest! And- Ah!" A figure came rushing past me, my ponytail flying about in the wind. But he hadn't touched me. It wasn't over yet.
Movement in my peripheral vision made me whip my head around, barely in time to catch sight of Tenya charging towards me, his arm outstretched. I shifted my stance at the last minute. He reached out to thin air, and I tapped his elbow.
"I did it! Five to me! I win!"
As Tenya had the upper hand, I needed five to win and end the game, whereas he needed thirty five. It was his proposal, so I wasn't going to argue.
"Well done, Hinami. You got better and better each time. You're a quick learner and I'm quite proud of your progress as your class representative, and as your friend." He pushed his glasses up, a genuine smile on his lips.
"Thank you, Tenya!"
"Yeah? Well as her boyfriend, I'm way prouder than you are!"
"Thank you too, Kat." I shook my head at him fondly.
Tenya decided that this was a good time to end our dual training. As he left to strengthen Recipro Burst, I turned to Kat expectantly.
"Seeings as you're not training your quirk yourself, let me have it."
"Huh?"
"Let me mirror your quirk."
"No."
"Why not?" He crossed his arms with a firm look.
"Because I said so."
"That's a shit answer, actually. And if you don't give me a good reason or let me have it, I'll tickle you into submission."
"Nice try, but I'm not ticklish." After eyeing him suspiciously for a moment, I shrugged.
"I believe it. But you should still teach me how to use your quirk. It'll be good for you to have to vocalise the basics. Plus, there may come a time where I need to use it."
"Don't care. It's mine. You can't have it."
"I'm not- You get it back! In fact, you can use yours at the same time!" I groaned. "What's your issue?"
"What did you feel after using Pinky's quirk?" He asked, suddenly changing the subject.
"Numbness. And a little burning. Usually I could just go all out and let Recovery Girl deal with it so I could get used to it, but..." Lifting my red hand up to him, I noted his deep frown. Wordlessly, he kissed my fingers one by one, sending sparks tingling up my arm. "All better!"
