yet another day beginning with the blaring sounds of the alarm. why she thought waking up at five am would improve her productivity, she didn't know. come on, she sighed let's get shit done. she pretty much had her day planned out, just like she didn't for everyday of the week. she was going to have breakfast, then she was going to spend her time in the lab, then the library, and if she had time afterwards, maybe she'd get herself a smoothie. oh she shouldn't forget her appointment with Ms Clawthorne.
after getting dressed, she made her way to the kitchen. she didn't really know how to cook, despite being a part of the engineering track. so, she just had cereal.
breakfast done. time to head to the labs. she had a choice. either, use the labs in the clubhouse and risk waking everyone up, or wait until 7:30 for when the classroom labs would open. did she care for her roommates? no. but was she willing to have Boscha chase her all the way to the grudgby fields? also no. maybe waking up so early wasn't a good idea
sighing, Amity looked at the clock. 6:30. an hour left. she went back to her room. maybe if she read, the time would go by quicker. so, she picked up a random book from her bookshelf, hopped on her bed.
the reaction between...
and she was bored. she already knew this. why did her parents insist on buying this book?
minutes passed by intensely slow. Amity had already read, looked through her social media and taken a power nap. then Boscha barged in her room shouting "oh my god, Amy, when did you start sleeping in?" Amity shot up from her bed at the sudden noise, but wasn't surprised to see the pink blonde extravagantly exaggerating in front of her
"i wasn't sleeping in, i was waiting for the labs to open"
"why? we have labs in the clubhouse"
"because you'd never let me have the end of it, if i accidentally woke you up" Amity sighed
"well, i'm awake now" Amity rolled her eyes
"yes, Boscha, i can see that"
"let's get coffee" Boscha suggested
"nope, i'm going to the labs" Amity stood up and straightened her outfit up
"which ones?"
"whichever lab you find me in the next five minutes is where i'll be" Amity pushed Boscha out of her room and closed the door.
"fine. i'll be at the cafe"
"have fun" Boscha walked away and out of the clubhouse. she knows we have coffee in the kitchen cupboards, right?
Amity made her way to the clubhouse lab. a small space with equipment for only the most basic experiments. for the children's safety, they said. but she needed to do her research if she was going to take over the family business. if she was going to be top of her class. at least the had the books available for the types of experiments Amity was willing to perform
when the lab started to crowd, she left. of course she knew the lab was for everyone's use but Amity couldn't stand to be with so many people at a time, if not to receive an award or something.
so she went to the library. where else to get her blood stimulated than a place of absolute silence. and perhaps she would've stayed in a state of euphoria had it been for the person sitting next to her.
"so," she said "what you reading?"
"oh it's you, Luz or what's it face" Amity responded
"coño" Luz said. Luz was not alone, unfortunately. tailing her, were her sibling. and of course they were with her
"Mittens, we know you didn't eat anything today other than cereal. stop forgetting lunch. and stop being mean to your friend" Amity stood up and grabbed the food from her brother, grunting in annoyance
"she is not my friend" she said, sitting back down
"right, we forgot, you don't have any" the twins snickered
"hey Luz" Emira smiled, sitting next to Luz
"hey, Em" Luz tried covering her blush but Emira noticed. and annoyingly, so did Amity.
Edric grabbed Amity's book and took a look before groaning. "i swear you need a life" he said
"i swear you need some braincells" Amity countered, which made Luz and Emira laugh. Edric, hurt, looked at his twin. come on, be on my side here, that's what the look basically said
"i'll have you know that i am the top of my class" Edric huffed
"Ed, we both know that's not true" Emira shook her head
"ok, everyone shut up" Amity said
"i didn't even say anything" Luz whined
"you're existing near me"
"Amity" Emira warned
"give that back" Amity grabbed her book back from Edric, scowling "i'm trying to work"
"ok ok, let's leave her to work. come on, Luz"
"bye Amity" Edric sang
...
"your sister is an ass" Luz groaned. today was their day off. Ed and Em volunteered to show Luz show Luz how to stir up some trouble. they played pranks on teachers and students alike. then they showed Luz the library. the twins suggested they introduce her to Amity. but when showed a picture Luz almost gagged. that coño i met in the town library the other day? she said which made the twins laugh
"i won't disagree with you" Edric chuckled
"you just have to give her time" Emira added "in the meantime, you can just hang out with us" damn, if Luz could count the amount of gay panic she'd had because of Emira. she couldn't tell if this was becoming a crush or something to do with gender envy
"hurry up, weirdos, Augustus is making dinner today and he makes the best fried rice" Emira ran faster towards the clubhouse.
"oh i'm so gonna get there first" Edric said, accelerating.
"no way!" Emira laughed. Luz ran faster as well. not compete in their competition, but because she also wanted to try some of Gus's fried rice
