To Hunter's misfortune, he was invited to go skiing on the knee with the club. To Hunter fortune, however, his boyfriend was helping him pick an outfit, and he thanked Titan he had impeccable style.

Ultimately, he had to wear something warm, but warmth could still be done with style, right. Instead of something bulky and probably uncomfortable, Hunter was handed brown pants, a black turtle neck shirt and a long brown coat. Titan, did he look amazing. He swung the coat over, putting it on and turned around to face Edric, laying on his bed with an open mouth and his arm supporting his head.

"Close Your mouth," Hunter smiled "flies will fly in"

"You spend to much time with me" Edric laughed as he approached his lover in slow action and grabbing onto his coat to pull him close. Not long after, they lips interlocked, sharing a soft but intimate kiss.

"Don't lie," Hunter said, softly "you love it"

"That, I do" Edric smiled

"I don't think I can do this" truth be told, Hunter never wanted to go, but Edric talked him into it. As long as Edric would go with him. At least then he wouldn't feel as alone in a club of people who hated him.

Edric pulled away, looking deep in his eyes. "Just remember...what would—"

"Guy Gardner do?" Hunter interrupted.

"You know me so well," Edric cooed. Hunter had picked up on Edric's obsession with Guy Gardner, one of the Green Lanterns from the DC universe. It made sense; they were both fun, daring and trickster-like characters

Hunter chuckled, "truth be told, I thought you were gonna make me say balls ten times"

"Never Let 'em know Your next move, sucka" Edric laughed whilst twirling for more dramatics.

"I hate you" Hunter grumbled, but Edric smiled, grabbing his hand and led him out of the room.

"Doubt that" he whispered

The were already waiting outside. It was still awkward but, Selene mentioned it was Odin tradition to go skiing on the first day. Everyone had to be there. But out of everyone, she seemed about the least enthusiastic about that. Other than Sam.

"Good luck" Edric whispered with a smirk, knowing how much Hunter hated this

Hunter sighed, pouting as Edric left, and he was left alone in the empty hallway with people that didn't even like him. Oh, was the feeling mutual.

The group soon ventured through the halls until they were met with the cold outside. The temperature was dropping just about everywhere in the city. Still, Hexisde engaged with outside sports and allowed children to explore the highest mountain, that was the knee, which puzzled Hunter. Even so, he traveled with the group as they got into a bus. Most of them were silent, keeping to themselves, but there were these two noise boxes led astray, making the most amount of noise possible. People even shifted to other seats. Hunter did the only thing he could think of, put in Airpods and set the sound to the highest setting.

Leaning on the window, he took in notice of the city that flashed before him; the skyscrapers, the well thought out tech enhancements, clearly of Blight industries, but most of all, posters of the Emperor's Initiative.  Billboards of Phillip with a smile and that royal gold attire. They were everywhere, and it sickened Hunter. That classist peace of ass.

Hunter felt a tap on his shoulder, so he turned noticing his clubmates all getting up. He too got up in a hurry. He was watching the outside. How could he have not noticed they were here?

The ski shop was not far from where the bus had dropped them off. So, they walked. Selene caught up to him though, never really looking at him. She asked, "you ok?"

"We're Club Odin" Hunter stated "I don't get why we're going skiing and not to some place like a government building or a museum"

Selene laughed, throwing her head back. She was surprised to say the least but she shrugged it off. "Because we're teenagers, silly" she breathed out

Hunter turned to her, kind of confused. To him, this was one big old waste of time. In what way would this benefit him in the future? None.

"We're supposed to do thing simply because we can. We're supposed to live ambitiously because—"

"You only live once? Well, not according to Buddhists" Hunter interrupted, shrugging

Selene laughed again. Of course he'd see it like that. She turned to him, "Either way," she said "We have all the time in the world. Enjoy it"

He's never gone skiing before. He'd never really been invited to things before, but now, here he was. Perhaps he should've worn something thing more appropriate. Either way, he was now about to find out if he could do this for the first and if he actually only lived once.

His club mates slid down the snowy mountain with no regard for things... happy. So he too slid down. Faster and faster, and with absolutely no control. Shit Shit Shit Shit. Hunter didn't know how to slow down and he was going too fast. This felt too fast. Eventually, he felt something under his foot, and was blown over, rolling down the steep hill.

"Damn bro, wipeout" Callum laughed

Other laughed as they skied further down. Groaning, Hunter stood up again. Not discouraged l, but more determined to prove himself wrong. He slid down again, first slow to get into the rhythm of turning when needed, but he shifted his weight just far enough eventually. He adapted so fast, he passed Callum and his friends all the way to the bottom.

"Yeah!" Selene cheered. She high-fived him as the others came down

"No way cumshot Just Beat me" Sam taunted

"Hey!" Selene warned "no idea this was a race"

"Just saying" he muttered

"Don't worry about him" Selene said to Hunter

"Oh don't worry, I won't"

The club members went down over and over until it was late. And Hunter felt content with himself. As Luz always said, he finally was allowing himself to have fun and try new things, which was...liberating.

When the sun set, he was in Edric's room, sitting on his bed, ranting about how amazing he felt—how powerful.

"—and I kept beating them over and over and over. I actually felt so good with the wind rushing against my face. It was like a whole new feeling and—oh my Titan, I'm sorry, I've just been ranting about my day and-and I haven't asked about yours" but Edric Just stared at him in awe, taking in every word. He shook his head at the sudden interruption though

"It's fine," he smiled as he placed his hand on Hunter's knee "my day was boring anyway—I wanna hear more about your day"

Hunter's cheeks turned red. "I wanna hear about your day though"

"Um ok" Edric took a breath of thought, thinking of his next words "well, I did some research today on mutations" Edric loved talking about his research. It often brought a smile for someone to even bring it up and that rarely ever happened. So, when Hunter asked, he blurted our everything about everything he found out today and Hunter listened to every word until they both fell asleep under the covers somehow.
