Willow was dreading the new meeting today. Though she didn't necessarily fear Amity, Amity did know how to strike a nerve. Especially when it came to Willow herself.
She wished hours would go slow so she could put off the meeting as long as possible. She even tried getting the teachers to say they required her presence or assistance in anything. But alas, the clock struck three and it was time to get to club Frigg's lab
Amity was the first one there (Obviously) and she didn't say a word to Willow as they waited Luz to arrive. Not a hi, or a where's Luz? If anything was said, the awkward silence would probably end up more awkward
Thirty minutes of them sitting there and still no Luz. There was no point in waiting for her anymore, so they decided to start.
There was a difference Amity's attitude. She didn't make a remark towards Willow once. Though she did groan in annoyance a few times. Was she...biting her tongue? If she was, that was definitely a surprise to Willow
"I'm sorry I'm late!" Luz burst into the lab almost an hour later, panting. But Amity did not notice. No, her face was now entirely red in anger. Luz should've just stayed where she was because Amity was not having it
"Sorry you're late?" Amity repeated "you are almost an hour late? Where were you?"
"I'm sorry," Luz pleaded "I had music class. I swear I didn't do this on purpose" in Luz's eyes, Amity saw she was telling the truth. But did she want to admit that? No. So she huffed, turning back to the laptop between her and Willow
"It's ok, Luz. We understand" Willow said. Luz turned to Amity to see if she did understand but nothing to show any remorse. She completely ignored her
"Thanks" Luz muttered. She pushed down the feeling of guilt because now she couldn't be guilty. She had to finish her project. "So tell me," Luz smirked "You guys fight while I was gone?"
"Nope" Willow smiled
"Aw, were you a good girl, Mittens?" she did not mean to pur in front of Amity. She did not intend it to sound the way it did but she did. And her face immediately flushed red. Amity's too. But Amity didn't know why.
"Don't call me that" Amity grumbled
"Yeah, no. Sorry" Luz sheepishly said "let's get back to work. What do you have so far?"
Was Willow crazy or did Luz just flirt with Amity? And did Amity just blush?
Willow didn't pay any more attention to it. If she did, she feared she may not be able to concentrate.
"I think we're done" Luz smiled after an hour of hard work. The code looked good
"Hold on, we still need to test it" Amity said
"We'll Test it next time. Right now, let's celebrate" Luz smiled "iced coffee on me"
"You don't pay for the coffee" Amity tolles her eyes
"Oh yeah, right"
"Either way, lets get iced coffee"
"Fine" Amity groaned
"Yes!" Luz said "let's go"
The coffee shop was always buzzing. More so at night time than in the day. But that didn't stop Luz from elbowing her way to the front of the line.
No one told Luz what they wanted and still she came back with Amity's go-to order and Willow's second choice. How she managed to do that? They would never know
Speaking to each other seemed natural. Different at first, but Luz always had a story she could share. And Willow appreciated an occasional good story time.
When the clock struck eleven, the workers had told them it was time to leave. Luz would've preferred she hung out with the two more (surprisingly) but she and Amity had detention in the morning.
