The True Beginning

 The group arrived at the Headmaster office with Yukiko leading them with the magic stone in hand.

"Crowley. Here's your stone." She said catching Crowley offguard.

"Pardon?! You're telling me you actually went to the Dwarfs' Mine in search of a magestone?" Crowley asked.

Deuce, Ace, & Grim stared. "Uh...? Yes?"

 Crowley was still shocked. "I didn't expect that you'd seriously do it.
And never in my wildest imaginings did I think you would actually return with a magestone!
And here I spent all evening preparing Ace and Deuce's expulsion documents." He admited.

 "Are you serious?! While we were fightin' some crazy monster for you, you were expelling them ?!" Grim said appalled.

"Paaaa..." Pachi drawled.

 "Monster"...?

 "Yeah. There was a monster, all right.
A big, nasty one. It nearly killed us!" Ace said as the rest of the group described what happened.

 "Hmmm.
So a mysterious monster was living in the mines.
And the four of you worked together to destroy it, and then brought its magestone back to me? And Yukiko, you and Grim decided to willingly help them?"

 "I don't know that I'd call it "working together." Ace said

 Deuce agreed. "It was more like we just happened to share the same goal at the same time..."

"I was kinda dragged into it, but Yukiko said she'd reward me with special pizza." Grim shrugged.

"What can I say, people can't get enough of my cooking, and I'm told to have a bleeding heart." Yukiko smiled with Pachi.

 Suddenly........

"Oh, gracious... Ohhh... Ohhhhhhhh! *Sobbing*"

 "Fgnya! What is this guy's deal?! Burstin' into tears in public? At his age?!" Grim asked.

 Crowley wept. "In all the decades I've worked at this school...
I never imagined for students of Night Raven College have joined hands together to defeat a common foe!"

Yukiko and Pachi stared at him. Does that mean the students here have big heads or something?

 Deuce bawked. "Whoa! No! No way would I join hands with that guy!"

 Ace added. "Okay, one, there was no joining of hands. Gross. And two, exactly HOW old are you, headmage?"

 "At this moment, I am moved beyond words.
I guess the Dark Mirror was not wrong after all.
My students have all been selected by the Dark Mirror for their exceptional talent and potential.
But great talent begets great pride and big egos.
Most are so self-reliant and self-centered that they never even consider cooperating with others." Crowley explained as he looked at Yukiko.

 Grim grumbled. "You make it sound like that's a bad thing."

 "But although you has no magic, you were able to convince those who CAN use magic to work together for a common goal. It is also a bonus that you can command your Pokemon to help as well without abusing their power. With that said, the everyday, humdrum mundanity you possess may be exactly what Night Raven College needs!"

 "I feel somewhat offended." Ace whispered.

 "Either way, I also have to honor an agreement.
Trappola, Spade - I hereby revoke your pending expulsions!" Crowley said as Deuce and Ace sighed in relief.

"Oh! Before I forget!
I just so happen to have a gift for you.
This is called a ghost camera." Crowley said taking an old fashioned camera out.
