Sonic X : Planet Zero

Getting to Know Each Other

After spending a mere three days on this planet, things were starting to get slightly stressful for the human girl. As much as she had fun hanging out with her new friends, she also wanted to get back to focusing on her original plan of finding her dad. She then started spending most of her morning formulating plans on her notebook.

"Hi Caitlin! How's everything going?"

The young girl got startled as she heard a voice speaking to her. It was Sonic who came to visit.

"Oh hi Sonic! Everything's great, just been a little busy dealing with...some homework."

"Well we haven't heard from you all day. Maybe you'd like to take a break?"

"I'd love to but I'm just too focused on this assignment right now."

"Well suit yourself. I'm gonna take another run out to the field."

The hedgehog kneeled down and tied his laces before heading off running again. 

Caitlin really wanted to take a break and get some fresh air so she decided to take up his offer.

"Wait! Actually Sonic, I think I might just go for a walk too."

"Sure you can tag along. I can show you around the city and the park if you'd like."

She nodded her head agreement. Although she wondered how she would be able to catch up with him due to him being so fast.

The hedgehog held the girl up and carried her on his back.

"Hang on tight."

Sonic then speeds out from the patio of the house and heads out into an open field.

"Hey, you're not afraid of heights are you?" asked the hedgehog to the girl.

"No, not really..."

"Okay, well I want you to close your eyes. Just trust me."

He then ran up to a nearby mountain, still holding on to her.

Caitlin could feel the breeze blowing through her hair. She was both nervous yet excited at the same time.

The two of them then came to a stop, which was at the top of a mountain.

"Okay. Open them now."

Caitlin opened them slowly and then let out a gasp as she saw an amazing view of the city from the top of the mountains.

"Wow! The view from up here is so beautiful! Man, I really wish I had a camera to take a picture of this scenery."

"Well I can help with that. There's lots of places I can show you around here."

He then held onto her again and carried her into the city, where he stopped by a local shop to buy a camera. The camera they got was that of a light pink color and she really loved it. As they continued walking through the city, they passed by a café where they were selling pastries and coffee. Caitlin hadn't eaten anything from morning so they decided to stop by and grab some cinnamon rolls on the way. After that, they went to visit the park where they saw some small animals scattering around and even tried feeding them little scraps of food. They took slow walks around the park but eventually decided exploring out again around the ancient temples.

The two passed by a set of ruins, not too far from an island. This is where Knuckles the Echidna was resting in front of a giant emerald known as the Master Emerald.

"Hey Knuckles! Sorry to bother ya, but I'd like to introduce you to Caitlin here."

"Hi!" she said to him shyly and waved back at him.
