It was about 4pm in the evening as Sonic went over to visit Amy at her house after running for a few miles. The pink hedgehog had just finished baking a pie in the kitchen.

"Hey Sonic! You haven't happen to see Caitlin around have you?" she asked him.

"No, I thought she was with you" he responded back.

"Yeah she was. She told me she was going for a walk and gather some fruits but I haven't seen her since."

"Maybe she might have head back over to Vanilla's? I'll go check with her."

He then raced on over to Vanilla's house.

He asked Vanilla if Caitlin was with them, but the rabbit stated that she wasn't at home with them either.

Sonic then checked with Tails and Knuckles, but neither of them saw her around either.

The hedgehog had looked almost everywhere for her. He checked through all the town, inside the shops and restaurants as well. He checked through the park and saw no signs of her there either. Finally, he decided to check the last place that he was hoping she wouldn't be there at, which was Eggman's ship.

Caitlin, Eggman and his robots had reached back at his lair.

The evil genius escorted her into the room where his computer was located.

"Okay so just a head's up. Your dad doesn't actually seem to remember who you are so...just act natural okay."

He warned her as he tried entering in the code into his computer.

Caitlin let out a sigh, hoping that wouldn't be the case, but she nodded in agreement with him.

Eggman tried entering the same code into the system in hopes that he could reach Mr. Thomas again. An error message showed up.

"What! But that should have worked..."

He kept entering the same code a few times, but to no avail, no signal would pick up.

Decoe and Bocoe also attempted to enter different codes into the machine, but the three of them would just end up getting into a fight with each other, figuring out which code was the best one.

Caitlin was starting to feel embarrassed by Eggman and his robots' constant battle with trying to contact her dad, and was beginning to lose her trust in them.

"Hey, well...thank you for offering to help me but I should probably head back home about now."

As she started heading back over to the entrance, she then heard a loud noise of someone breaking into the fortress. It was Sonic!

The hedgehog speeded up close to them with his arms folded.

"What are you up to now, Eggface?"

Caitlin then ran up to Sonic trying to explain herself.

"Sonic! I'm so sorry but Eggman was just trying to..."

But the hedgehog quickly interrupted her before she could finish.

"It's fine Cait. You don't need to explain. I know what Eggman is up to."

"What are you talking about you oversized rodent!? I was just doing a small favour for my little friend here."

Eggman stated, trying to defend himself.

"Oh yeah, well what's with all those contacts on your screen?"

Sonic pointed over to Eggman's computer screen which showed a long list of all the Zenion cyborgs he had been trying to contact.

"Oh that...Okay I know what you're thinking, but I'm only spying on them to make sure they don't plan to pull any more threats on us."

As Eggman continued to act all innocent, he quickly pushed a button on his control remote that he hid behind his back. This then caused all his robots to activate against the two of them.

"I didn't wanna have to be pushing any buttons hedgehog, but since you have pushed mine, I'm afraid you're going off limits!"

He then pressed another button, which also allowed his missiles to activate against them.

Sonic quickly grabbed Caitlin in his arms and speeded off. The two of them were quick enough to dodge all of Eggman's bullets.

Caitlin tried explaining to Sonic what had been going on.

"Sonic, I wanted to tell you that Eggman was actually trying to help me speak to my father. He told me he got a message from him. Should we trust him?"

"I wouldn't place any of my trusts on that egghead", said the hedgehog snarkily.

The two of them then reached to the end of the hall. Luckily, there was an emergency escape door nearby. Sonic quickly pushed the button to which the door then emerged down for the two to escape. The two of them were so high up from the ground that they had no choice but to jump off and land right on top of the surface of a nearby ship.

Sonic tried to find a way to get down the surface. He found a door nearby which had some steps leading them downward. The ship had a very dark and gloomy atmosphere inside it. Sonic wasn't getting any good vibes from the place, so he immediately checked for any other exits or passageways to escape.

Unfortunately, they were now caught stranded inside of the ship owned by Reclus, who was the current leader of the cyborgs of Planet Zero. These cyborg creatures had referred to themselves as Zenions.

The dark and mysterious leader had seen everything that had been going on inside his ship as he had cameras located everywhere.

"These poor souls don't know what they're about to get into. How wonderful!"

He cackled as he watched the two of them try to escape. He then turned over to his second-in-command soldier and shouted his orders at him.

"Corpus! Release the omni glass tube!"

The soldier pressed a button which then had two large glass tubes appear from the top and to have it land on top of both Sonic and Caitlin. They were now trapped inside two separate tubes right next to each other.

Reclus then introduced himself to them through his speaker.

"Welcome, fellow civilians. I hope you two are comfortable inside my glass tubes. Don't worry it's quite spacious for you guys to keep habit in."

Caitlin was frightened at everything that was going on, while Sonic wasn't having any of his sweet talk.

"You better start explaining to us what your plan is on having us stuck inside this glass!"

Reclus smirked as he couldn't help but enjoy watching their misfortunes.

"Since the two of you chose to invade inside my ship, you will be forced to remain as prisoners inside these cells for an eternity!"

Caitlin felt even more terrified at this point. Why would this strange, mysterious figure want them trapped in his ship for an eternity? She felt completely guilty for leading both herself and Sonic into this situation.

Sonic tried multiple attempts to free both of them, but the glass was just too strong for them to breakout. The two of them were definitely going to need some help in this scenario.
