The Final Showdown

As the soldiers made their way over at the two hedgehogs, blasting their weapons out at them, Sonic and Shadow both charged out at them as well in their super forms.

Caitlin and her dad were right behind one of the large pillars as to avoid being caught within the battle.

"Dad, don't you think we should be doing something about this?" she had asked him.

"I don't know. I thought you guys were the one with the plan" he replied.

He was unsure if he should really go out there and fight. He didn't want to fight both Sonic and Shadow as it would have upset his daughter, but he was also too afraid to risk fighting all his other cyborg allies as he would get in trouble with Reclus. Hiding seemed like the best solution for him at this moment.

Eggman and his robots also tried to fled from the battle, unsure of what to do as they had no type of weapons to fend for themselves.

"Doctor! What do we do? We're stranded in the middle of a war here?" Decoe asked.

"We don't have any of our own weapons with us!" Bocoe added on.

"Why did we have to get ourselves stuck in this mess?" Bokkun complained as well.

Eggman was getting real annoyed by his minions constantly whining. He then immediately hatched an idea.

"Boys, I have an idea. Follow my lead."

The four then snuck off into Reclus' lab without getting noticed.

After defeating a whole string of cyborgs, Sonic stopped for a moment, desperately trying to catch his breath.

Caitlin and her dad were not too far from him. It had been so long since she had last seen him that she couldn't help walk out slowly from behind the pillar to go over and greet him.

"Caitlin! What are you doing?" Her dad tried calling out to her as to not expose themselves but she just continued walking.

"Sonic? Is that really you?"

Sonic knew that voice sounded familiar. He turned around to see the girl standing in front of him. He smiled and nodded his head at her response.

"You look amazing" she spoke softly to him.

"I'm glad you're alright Cait" he replied back to her.

However, the moment didn't last long as more of his cyborgs showed up and made their way towards them.

"Stand back!" he said to Caitlin.

Sonic got himself ready into position. As the cyborgs made their way closer, he then activated a force shield which would block all his enemies away.

Reclus was truly surprised to see how powerful Sonic still was, despite most of his powers being taken away from him. He figured it was time to truly test what Zelos was capable of. He pressed another button which allowed Zelos to activate his arms leading him to smash his arms right down to where they were all fighting.

Tails and the rest of the gang inside the Blue Typhoon had made it just in time. They tried helping out both Caitlin and her dad by throwing down a roped ladder for them to climb up into the ship. Unfortunately for them, it didn't take long for Reclus to notice the two of them trying to escape.

The evil ruler had a special type of chip installed on all his cyborgs. If any of them were to disobey him then he would activate the chip against their own will.

All of Sonic's friends were happy to see Caitlin again. Victor was a bit nervous to introduce himself to them as he was on the enemies side but he was surprised to see how friendly they all seemed. He was happy to just sit down after being out there for so long. However, it was only a matter of time until he felt a slight shock on his neck. Caitlin noticed his reaction to the shock and was immediately concerned for him.
