The bullet hit Lucifer right in his left shoulder. He let out a demonic growl and retreated back into the darkness. As he retreated, he released Jessie from his grip. Tom pulled Jessie up onto her feet and hugged her, pulling her close to his body. "I thought I was going to die," she told him, her head buried in his leather jacket. "It's okay, you're safe now." He assured her. Suddenly, both of them heard wings flapping in the air. They looked up and saw Lucifer diving straight towards them. "RUN!" Tom shouted and they both started to run.

After a couple of feet, Anthony appeared in front of them. "What's wrong?" Anthony shouted at Tom & Jessie, who were running towards him. "Just run," Tom told him, then Anthony took off running in front of the two of them. Lucifer was getting closer and closer, his wings beating against the rain. Tom looked back over his shoulder, and he saw that Lucifer was getting closer and closer. "Watch out!" he shouted and Tom, Jessie, and Anthony all ducked their heads down. The Devils razor-sharp claws were just two inches away from the top of Jessie's head as he flew over them. Anthony, Tom, and Jessie all lifted their heads up as they saw Lucifer disappear into the darkness.

"Brooke!" Anthony shouted for his girlfriend as they were getting closer to where she was hiding. Brooke had her back against the cold, metal car door, her M16 rifle resting on her lap. She stood up straight when she heard Anthony calling her name. She could see Anthony, Tom, & Jessie all running towards her but a couple of feet behind them, something moved in the darkness. Brooke looked at the horde of zombies that were running towards them, their rotten fingers stretched out in front of them. "WATCH OUT!" she shouted at Anthony, Tom, & Jessie as they were all running towards her. Anthony looked over his shoulder and saw the horde of zombies. "Run!" he told Tom and Jessie, picking up speed. Tom & Jessie ran faster, both of them beside Anthony.

"Brooke, let's go!" Anthony told his girlfriend, as Anthony, Tom, and Jessie all ran past her. As he ran past her, he grabbed her by the hand and started to pull her along. After a while, he let go of her hand and Brooke ran beside Jessie. As they were getting closer to the end of the Street, Tom saw a St. sign. The sign said: Fulton St & Cole St. "Come on, let's go" he told the others, turning left on Cole Street. Anthony, Brooke, and Jessie also turned left, with the horde of zombies close behind them. After about twenty feet, Jessie started to breathe heavy, her legs hurting from all the running. "Guys, hold on. I need to take a break." she told the others that were running ahead of her.

Anthony, Brooke, and Tom all stopped running and they went back to Jessie. "No, you can't stop now, Jessie. We're almost there." Anthony told her. "Just go on without me. I'll hold them off while you guys run." Jessie told him. "You have to come with us," Tom told his girlfriend, looking over her shoulder at the horde of zombies that were closing in on them. 'I can't, both of my legs hurt too badly," Jessie told him. "Come on, we need you,'' he told her. "I said, just go." Jessie told Tom, then Tom pulled Jessie close to his body and kissed her on the lips. "I love you," he told her, after their kiss ended.

Anthony, Brooke, and Tom all started to run again, leaving Jessie behind. "Come and get it, you flesh-eating monsters" she muttered to herself as the zombies got closer and closer to her. Jessie pulled out her two Desert Eagle pistols, both of her index fingers ready to pull the triggers. The zombies got closer and closer to her and Jessie pulled both of the triggers, firing bullets after bullets, hitting the zombies but they wouldn't go down. Anthony, Brooke, and Tom all heard Jessie firing her pistols at the zombies but they didn't dare to look back. Just then, they stopped hearing the sound of the guns being fired. Jessie let out a blood-chilling scream as she got devoured by the flesh-eating zombies.

The three of them continued to run, Tom's eyes were filling up with tears again and he wiped his tears off using his right jacket sleeve. Anthony, Brooke, and Tom all ran down the St. for 462 feet then they turned right on Fell St. After about 50 feet, they had to move slightly to the right to stay on Fell St.. They continued running for 429 feet then they turned left onto Stanyan St. As Anthony, Brooke, & Tom were all running down Stanyan St., Anthony looked over to the side at the side-walk. There were zombies feasting on dead bodies, their teeth were covered in blood. The zombies slowly rose to their feet and started to walk towards them.
The three of them ran down Stanyan Street for 0.5 miles then they turned left onto Parnassus Avenue. As they ran down the street, they slowly came to a stop in front of a building. Anthony looked at the sign. "Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute" he said out loud. "401 Parnassus Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94143" Brooke read the address. Anthony, Brooke, & Tom all stared up towards the top of the building. The building was eight stories tall, dark clouds ran behind the building. A group of crows were circling around the building's roof, screeching, as if the birds were warning them about a predator that they couldn't see. Tom pushed open the main gate, which creaked on its rotten hinges.

Anthony, Brooke, and Tom walked to the main entrance and Brooke pushed the door open. They slipped in, the door slammed shut loudly behind them. Brooke jumped as the door slammed shut. The hospital's lobby was messy. Chairs and tables were flipped over, stuffing sticking out of the chairs, magazines littered the floor. Scattered all around the floor, there were lifeless corpses of people who came to see their loved ones, who were treated at the hospital. Suddenly, they heard somebody crying, Tom started to walk around the lobby, searching for the source of the sobbing. He started to walk towards a door, behind the check-in counter. Tom grabbed ahold of the doorknob, just as Anthony and Brooke came up behind him.

He twisted the handle and he pushed the door open. Sitting in a corner, her arms wrapped around her legs, was a girl, about the same age as Brooke. Anthony walked into the supply closet and he bent down, two inches away from the girl. "What's your name?" Anthony asked her and the girl looked up at him and he finally got to see what she looked like. She has dark blue eyes, dark brown hair, a purple tank-top underneath a dark gray jacket, light blue skinny jeans, and a pair of gray converse. "My name is Sophia," she told him.

Brooke stepped into the supply closet and held her hand out towards Sophia. She grabbed ahold of Brooke's hand and Brooke pulled Sophia up onto her feet. The three of them stepped back out into the main lobby. "Sophia.. What happened here?" Tom asked Sophia, who was looking around the lobby, staring at the lifeless corpses. "I came here to visit my brother, Daniel. I was waiting in here to see him," she told them, as they were walking to the stairs. They started to climb up the stairs, Anthony was in front, Brooke and Sophia were in the middle, and Tom was in the back. "All of a sudden, zombies just rushed into the lobby, the smell of flesh meat attracted them. So many people died.." she said, shivering as she remembered what happened.

They reached the fourth floor, Anthony pushed open the door and they stepped out into the fourth floor hall-way. "There was blood everywhere, body parts scattered around the room. I hid in the closet, waiting until they were gone. Then you guys showed up" Sophia told them. Anthony, Brooke, Sophia, and Tom all stood in front of the door leading to the stairs. "Why is your brother here?" Anthony asked her. "A couple of days ago, our parents went out for their 30th anniversary, and Daniel had three of his best friends over at the house," Sophia told him. She kept on looking down the hall-way, as if she expected Daniel to rush out into the hall when he hears his name. "Do you believe in demonic possession?" Sophia asked Brooke then she looked at the others and Brooke said, "Yes."
