"Honey, have you seen my car keys?" Daniel's father asked his wife. "Yes, they're on the kitchen table," his wife, Hannah, replied. "George, are you ready? We're going to be late," Hannah called to her husband. "Coming," George called back to his wife, as he went down the hall to the living-room. He went into the kitchen and grabbed the car-keys off the table. Hannah was waiting for him at the front door. George walked back into the living-room and he went to the front-door. "Hannah, you look nice," he told his wife. "So do you," she replied smiling. George was wearing a white Polo shirt underneath a 7 Diamond 'Konick' leather moto jacket, light blue jeans, and black dress shoes. Hannah was wearing a light blue flannel shirt, a white scarf wrapped around her neck, dark blue skinny jeans, and light brown boots.
Both Sophia and Daniel were sitting on the couch in the living-room, watching a movie on their big TV. George went back into the living-room and Daniel looked away from the TV and stared at his father. "Are you two going to be okay? We won't be home until past 11," George told Daniel. "Can three of my friends come over?" Daniel asked his father. "Sure, as long as you guys don't make a mess," George replied, looking from Daniel to Sophia. "Come on, George, we're going to be late." Hannah said from the front door. "Okay, we're going. Daniel, come and lock the door," George told Daniel, as he walked to the front-door.
Daniel got up from the couch and he walked to the front-door. George reached past his wife and he unlocked the door. George and Hannah walked down the sidewalk to the drive-way. He unlocked their Honda Pilot, then he and Hannah got into the car. Daniel closed the front-door and he locked the door. George started the car's engine and the Honda Pilot came to life then he backed the car out of the drive-way. Daniel watched from the front-window as the car turned left. Daniel walked back into the living-room and picked up the phone.
Daniel was wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt underneath a 7 Diamonds 'Sprint' leather jacket, light blue jeans, and a pair of gray Nike hyperfresh shoes. He dialed one of his friend's phone numbers and held the phone up to his right ear. Sophia was still watching the movie on the TV while Daniel stood there, the phone to his ear. On the fifth ring, Daniel was about to hang up when somebody picked up the phone on the other line. "Hello?" somebody said into the phone on the other line. "Max, it's Daniel. My parents are out for the night. You can come over," Daniel said into the phone. There was a long silence then Max said, "I'll be over in ten minutes," then he was about to hang up. "Wait, bring Jake and Andrew over with you," Daniel said into the phone. "Okay, we'll be over in fifteen minutes," Max said then he hung up the phone.Daniel put the phone back on the charger and sat down on the couch beside his sister. A new movie just started on the TV as he sat down. "So what are we going to have to eat?" Sophia asked her brother, not taking her eyes off the TV. "We can have pizza for dinner," Daniel told her, his eyes also on the TV. "Pizza sounds good." she said, watching as two boys and two girls were running away from a man with a chainsaw. One of the girls screamed as the man raised the chainsaw up into the air.
Fifteen minutes later, both Daniel and Sophia heard the doorbell ring. The sudden sound of the doorbell made both Daniel and Sophia jump a little. Daniel got off the couch and he walked to the front-door. He unlocked the door and opened it. On the other side of the door, was Max, Jake, and Andrew.
Max was wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt underneath a Men's Sword Black Genuine Lambskin leather biker jacket, blue jeans, and a pair of red Nike shoes. "Are you going to let us in or not?" Jake asked, his black Soul Revolver Hybrid leather jacket zipped up halfway. 'Come in," Daniel told his three friends, stepping aside so they could go in. Max, Jake, & Andrew all followed Daniel as he walked into the living-room. Sophia looked away from the TV as they came in. "Hey, Sophia," Max said, with a smile and a wave of his hand. "Hey, Max, Jake, and Andrew," Sophia said as she got up from the couch and stretched her body. "I'm going to order pizza. Is pepperoni pizza okay with everybody?" Daniel asked, grabbing his wallet out of his right pocket. "Yeah," Max, Jake, Andrew, and Sophia all said.
Ten minutes later, Daniel, Max, Jake, Andrew, and Sophia all heard a knock at the door. Max got off the couch and walked to the front-door. He grabbed the doorknob, twisted it, and he pulled the door open. The pizza delivery man was standing there, the pizza box and a box of crazy bread in his hands. "Hey," the pizza delivery man said to Max. "Thanks for the pizza," Max told the man, reaching in his back pocket for his wallet. "How much do I owe you?" Max asked, reaching into the wallet. "It'll be $9.99," the man told him. Max pulled out a 10 dollar bill out of his wallet. Max handed the money to the delivery man as the man handed him the pizza.
Max went back inside, closed the door, and locked it as the man walked down the driveway to his car. He carried the box into the living-room and he put the pizza box on the coffee table. He opened the box and the smell of hot, fresh-made pizza filled the air. Daniel, Max, Andrew, Jake, and Sophia all reached for a slice of pizza. After they were done eating the pizza, Daniel opened the box of crazy bread. He handed a stick of bread to the others.
After all of them were finished eating, Daniel walked over to the closet, grabbed the doorknob, and twisted it. He pulled the door open and he walked into the closet. Daniel went through the stuff on the shelves until he found what he was looking for. He walked out of the closet, holding the box in his hands. He closed the closet door with his foot, as he made his way back into the living-room.
"What is that?" Jake asked as Daniel placed the box on the coffee table. "You'll find out," Daniel told him, taking his hands off the box that was now on the table. Sophia sat on the couch, next to Max, her head resting on his shoulder. She stared at her brother, as he lifted the top of the box off, revealing the ouija board laying inside. He reached into the box, lifting the board and the planchette out and he placed them on the coffee table.
Daniel placed the empty box on the floor, and he stood up, stretching his arms above his head. "Let's play," he said, looking at his three friends, a wicked smile on his face. Jake was about to say something but Sophia stopped him. "The candles are in the kitchen," she told him, as if she was reading his mind. Smiling to himself, Jake went into the kitchen and he started looking for the candles.
A few moments later, Jake came back into the living-room, holding six white candles, three in each hand. He walked to the coffee table, and placed the candles on the table. Andrew reached into his front right pocket and he pulled out his lighter. He flicked the lighter wheel with his thumb and the flame sparked to life. Holding the flame over the candles, Andrew carefully lit all six candles then holding the lighter in front of his mouth, he blew the flame out.
Daniel & Max went through the entire house, turning off all the lights. After all the lights were switched off, they went back into the living-room. Andrew & Jake were already sitting on the carpet, their eyes on the ouija board. Max joined the others on the carpet, while Daniel went over to the light switch, and he turned the living-room light off.
Daniel made his way through the darkness, the flickering flames of the candles guiding him to the coffee table. When he got to the coffee table, he sat down on the carpet with his three friends. Sophia was still sitting on the couch, not wanting to take part of whatever her brother and his friends were doing.
