Chapter Eight

Luke's P.O.V

What the hell am I going to do now? I kissed her. I totally forgot that her boyfriend, threatened to kill me. I'm in deep shit...

School had nearly ended, there was only 1 period left; I had music... this is going to be awkward... I headed over to the guys + Caitlin. I took a seat in between Ashton and Calum, trying not to make eye contact with Caitlin. Caitlin just kept giving me death glares throughout music class... I'm dead.

"What's up with you and Caitlin?" Calum whispered.

"I... insulted her boyfriend...and kissed her." I whispered back.

"What did Caitlin do?" Calum asked (still whispering).

"She slapped me ... hard and pushed me, hence why we aren't speaking to each other." I'm in a serious pile of crap." I replied.

I looked up at Caitlin who seemed to be looking at me and Calum whispering to each other. Could she hear us? You could see that she was annoyed at me... I mean I'm her best friend... maybe I should just let her be happy with James, even though he's a jerk. I've really messed up.

Caitlin's P.O.V

Its period 6: music. Luke kept staring at me, it's like he's expecting me to forgive him that easily. He must be joking right? I know, I've been saying I don't believe in relationships ever since Luke and I were little, but after I told him I have a boyfriend... Luke started to ignore me... Why does this bother him so much?

It's not like he has feelings for me...does he? Is that why he kissed me? Ugh! Why Luke?! How am I going to explain this to James?

"Right class, to get you ready for your final project; due in two weeks. I decided to give you another project, it's not long... all you have to do is write a song dedicated to someone." Ms Bloomfield said.

"Oh, great this is going to be fun." I mumbled in a sarcastic tone.

It was the end of school, I ran straight outside the school gates. I tried to avoid Luke; I couldn't possibly ask Luke to drive me home, not after what happened today. Why has he put me is this situation?

~time passes~

It was around 5:00 in the afternoon. I had to tell James what happened; after all... he is my boyfriend. I grabbed my phone and typed James, in the search bar on my contacts list. His name was first, I pressed his name, send message.

"Hey, I have to tell you something." I sent.

"Okay, where should we meet?" He replied.

"Um, the café near my house?" I sent back.

"See you there." He replied.

I got changed, and made my way to the café near my house. James was sitting at the table near the window, scrolling through his phone. I walked up to him; my hands were shaking like crazy. How the hell is he going to react? Even though Luke kissed me, he is still my best friend... I don't want him to get hurt. Should I tell James?

He got up and hugged me.

"Hey, you okay?" He said as he pulled out a seat, signalling for me to sit down.

"Yeah, I...I'm fine." I said as I started trembling. I sat down.

"I have something to tell you." I blurred out.

"Okay? What is it?" He asked confused.

"Luke... kissed me today." I muttered.

As soon as I finished telling James this, his face quickly filled with blood. He was angry. He smashed the table and the cutlery moved, which made me jump.

"He's dead!" James said.

"No. It was an accident." I lied. I just didn't want Luke to get hurt.

James got up and put his jacket on; his face was still filled with blood. He started making his way to the door. I got up and tried to stop him. I have a pretty good idea where he might be going.

"James, calm down. It was an accident." I said as I tried to prevent James from leaving the café.

"Sure, it was. He's dead." He replied; as he stormed off out the café door.

What am I going to do now?
