Chapter Eighteen

Luke's P.O.V

She said yes!

"Okay, I should take you back to your place to change; for our date." I said.

"Okay." Caitlin replied.

I grabbed the car keys and Caitlin and I started making our way to the car. I closed the front door, when Caitlin nudges me and says...

"Race you to the car; loser has to kiss the winner." Caitlin said.

Before I even had a chance to say anything. Caitlin had already started running. I ran quickly after her, but she won.

"Haha I win, loser." Caitlin boasted.

"Come here loser." Caitlin added.

I walked closer towards her, and she slowly wrapped her hands around my neck and pulled me towards her. Our lips touch; I couldn't help it but kiss her back. I slid my hands around her waist and pulled her towards me.

I slowly pulled away from her kiss.

"Um... I should drive you home to change for our date tonight." I state.

"Yeah...." Caitlin says whilst smiling at me.

The street lights were on; it was around 6:00 in the evening. The yellow light that was given off by the street lamp reflected into Caitlin's eyes making them sparkle.

Time for another pickup line...

"What's that in your eye... oh never mind it's just a sparkle." I whispered.

"You're so bad at pickup lines dork." Caitlin replied.

Anyways... it was getting dark, and I needed to drive Caitlin to her house. Caitlin got in the car and I ran to the other side and jumped in. I started the car and started driving to Caitlin's house.

Caitlin's P.O.V

Lukey, I mean Luke drove me home and waited until I got into the house before driving off. I ran upstairs and jump onto my bed, I sigh in content. Oh crap! I need to get ready for my date! I hop off my bed and head for the bathroom, I needed another quick shower.

I finished showering, and headed over to my closet. Now... what am I going to wear...?

A turquoise blue dress caught my eye; I took it off its hanger and walked over to my mirror. It looks nice. The dress was strapless, with some designs along the bottom. I decided to wear this and walked over to my jewellery box; I picked out a ruby coloured bracelet and placed it around my wrist. I decided to wear flats, because I didn't want to risk the chances of me falling... that would be embarrassing.

I checked myself in the mirror before heading downstairs, and sitting down waiting for Luke.

*doorbell*

I got up and ran to the doorbell. It was Luke, he had a tux on, and he also had a red rose in his hand. He's hair was in a quiff as always. His baby blue eyes sparkled, due to the light coming from my house. He looks amazing.

Luke's P.O.V

She looks so perfect standing there (hehe skills... I need to stop putting song lyrics in my story...) She looks amazing in her turquoise coloured dress. She's so beautiful.

"You look beautiful." I managed to say.

"You look amazing yourself Luke." Caitlin replied.

I smiled. I offer my hand out to Caitlin.

"Shall we?" I asked.

"We shall." Caitlin answered.

She placed her hand into mine and we walked to the car, after we closed her front door. We both got in the car and I drove off. I knew this fancy restaurant near my area. It would be the perfect place, I already booked a reservation.

"Where are we going?" Caitlin questioned.

"It's a surprise." I replied along with a smirk.

We finally arrived at the restaurant, I ran over to the other side of the car and opened Caitlin's door whilst offering my hand out. Caitlin took it, and said "Thanks."

"Your welcome." I replied, I turned around and locked the car.

A waiter showed us to our seats. I pull out a chair and offered Caitlin a seat...

Am I trying too hard? I questioned myself.

Caitlin took a seat and I took mine. I already asked for the chef's choice.

Caitlin and I finished eating at the restaurant. We were now walking in a random park near the restaurant. I take her hand and spin her around. Caitlin spun around making her dress spin as well... she's so cute.

We saw some swings and decided to go on them. Caitlin took a seat on one of the swings. I started pushing her swing gently. I could see Caitlin shivering, so I took off my jacket and placed it over her.

"Thanks Lukey." She said.

After a couple of pushes I took a seat of my swing and started pushing myself back and forth. I kept staring at Caitlin, it was impossible not to.

Caitlin's P.O.V

This date is amazing. Luke is just swinging back and forth on his swing whilst staring at me.

"What are you thinking about dork?" I asked him.

"Nothing, just how beautiful you are." He replies.

I smile and start blushing.

I suddenly felt water droplets fall from the sky and hit my cheek. It started raining. Way to ruin a date. Luke got up and helped me hop off my swing.

"I don't mind if it's raining." I state.

"What? Why? You're going to get sick." Luke said.

By that time, water droplets were dropping more quickly.

"Let's recreate a movie scene." I say.

"Okay..." Luke replies confused.

I started dancing and Luke soon joined in. Luke stopped and grabbed my hands before pulling me towards him. Our heads were touching, with water droplets flowing down our faces. He stroked my cheek, before placing his lips against mine... and we were soon kissing in the rain...
