When he enters the waiting room, the sight makes his blood run cold. Everyone is here. Without exception. Even Lois, though she is heavily pregnant. She is in Sebastian's arms, who is also holding Damon, who is crying softly and hiding his face in the crook of his father's neck. Next to them, Simon supports Isabella and at their feet lie the twins, who have Eva between them. A little further on, Alexander and Matt, back-to-back, hold Cecilia and Lucida in their arms. Jared and Chloe sit glued to each other, with Margaret curled up like a ball on their thighs. And finally, his parents. Jace and Mary. On the verge of collapse, they both stand next to the iron door with the horrible sign on it.

Jace hugs them both.
Jace: Did you see that, Angel? I told you he was coming, and now that Superman is here, everything is going to be okay, like Nic always says.
