This is exactly why all the celestials gathered tonight, as well as the aspirants. The humans preferred to stay away from this meeting for obvious reasons.
But there are still two people, an angel, and a human, who're supposed to be here but aren't. Do you know who I'm talking about? Oh, yes. I'm talking about Matty and Eva.
Jason thought this was the perfect opportunity for the couple to be alone. The penthouse is empty because they're all here, and most importantly, Jace will be too busy with Michael and may not even notice his young daughter's absence.

The living room of the house isn't as full as usual, but those who're here are more than enough.
The hybrids have hogged the big couch. Sebastian snuggles with Elena and Damon plays with Lois' hair. Margaret isn't here because her own transformation won't happen until she's eighteen and of age. Of course, she doesn't agree with this at all, but it's something of an unwritten law that children aren't allowed to transform. What about Damon and Elena? For them, this law doesn't apply, because the two of them were already born that way.
On the other sofa are Alexander and Matt, who're both buried in the spell book. I mean, Matt is the one reading. Alexander just holds him in his arms, kisses his neck, strokes his soft hair, and enjoys the intoxicating angelic scent of his body. Usually, Alexander is the one reading and the troll is Matt in their relationship, but now Matt is the one worrying about the transformation, so the roles are sort of reversed.
