~ MIDDLETON's RESIDENCE ~

Lois and Tiny are walking up the stairs to Sharon's room when Tiny's cell phone starts ringing.

Tiny: It's Negro, my Lady.

Lois: Answer it. Obviously, the boss wants to know what stage we are at.

Tiny answers the call.

Tiny: Hey, Negro! ... Yes. Our Lady just talked to the mother and convinced her that our boy is innocent. ... No. Tell him no. She didn't use force for that.

Tiny covers the phone with his hand and whispers to Lois.

Tiny: The boss asked if you used force.

Lois rolls her eyes.

Lois: How misunderstood I am, my God!

Tiny turns back to the phone call.

Tiny: Yes. We're ready to get in the girl's room now. You? ... Okay. We'll wait for your call.

Tiny hangs up the phone.

Lois: Well?

Tiny: Baron just brought the little girl's father and the boss is ready to talk to him. They're going to call us.

Lois: Great! Then let's go talk to the girl. Do you think I should knock first?

Tiny: No. Of course not. It's always better to have a surprise.

Lois: If you say so!

Lois kicks down the door and enters the room. She startles Sharon, who jumps out of her bed like a spring and screams.

Sharon: What the fuck, Lady? Why do you just barge into my room like that? Who the hell are you? Where the hell are those idiot guards? MOM ...?

Lois takes a searching look at Sharon, the alleged victim of beating and rape. She looks to the girl for a sign. A sign that indicates she has been raped. But not on her body. The physical wounds of rape are superficial and eventually disappear. Lois looks for the other sign. The sign of the rape of the soul that every woman who is the victim of such a crime suffers, but there's nothing like that on Sharon. No. Other than a few abrasions on her arms, a few scratches on her thighs, and a bruise on her cheekbone, there's nothing else. Her eyes don't have that lost look. The look of shame and humiliation that women have afterwards. Sharon's eyes are full of evil and something else. Something Lois can't explain. She raises her finger to her lips, signaling Sharon to stop screaming as she stares at her.

Lois: Shut the fuck up and go back to your bed.

Sharon wiggles her fingers next to her face and makes the familiar motion of madness.
