CHAPTER 20

Yuna woke up so thirsty. Looking to the side, Yeji's already gone. She thought that she left early. She walked outside and found Yeji cuddling with Ryujin. She froze. She didn't know if she should be happy, mad, or embarrassed.

"you wanna try to?" Ryujin suddenly said, still closing her eyes. ignoring the fact that they both are uncovered.

Yuna gulped looking at Ryujin's whole body. She averted her gaze somewhere and went to the kitchen.

Ryujin yawned and rubbed her eyes. looked for her glasses before putting it back on. She quickly put on her clothes and carried Yeji back to the bedroom. She then walked over to Yuna.

"come to my penthouse. Four blocks from here, at the very top floor. It's not an offer so you better come if you still want to see your friend alive."

Ryujin came back to her old mansion. Some polices are still there while some people looking through the remains.

"may I know who you are?" one of the polices asked.

"I own the house." Ryujin calmly said. "before you suspect anything, I'm the one who burned the house and no, no one was hurt."

"but we found a body of a woman. It seems..."

"that's my mother. She's dead before I burned it. Ask him." Ryujin looked at Taehyung.

"and may I know who he is?"

"I used to take care of her mother when she's sick. It's true that she died before she burned the house." Taehyung nervously said.

"see?" Ryujin fixed her glasses. "now that I tell you everything, I want you to find any book that's unharmed and bring it to my penthouse." Ryujin gave him her card.

"Shin Ryujin." The officer read the card. Looking at how Ryujin behaved, her company name, and the location of her penthouse, the officer gladly obeyed. "we'll work on it, miss."

"thank you. One more thing, whatever you found in that house, stays with it. After that, demolish the house. You hear me?" Ryujin stepped closer to the officer. She looked at his batch and found out that he's one of the one in charge.

"crystal clear, miss." He replied. "don't forget to give me the greens, yea?"

"sure." Ryujin smiled at him.

Ryujin took Hawk for a walk like any other day. In times like this, Siyeon usually popped up beside her or behind her. lately is not like that. Since Taehyung accompanied her everywhere, Siyeon didn't came out.

"can you leave me for a sec? take a walk or something." Ryujin asked Taehyung. He obeyed easily and walked around alone around the park.

"woof!" Hawk whined at her. Ryujin let go of his leash. She watched him ran to Taehyung. She sighed.

"he likes him." Siyeon finally came out. "poor you."

"no way. Dogs just cares about someone who took care of them. He feed him often times so that make sense." Ryujin's in denial.

"really? When was the last time you played with him?"

"I don't know. I just take him for a walk, train him, feed him too. That's a play, right?" Ryujin shrugged.

"looks like he's gonna find another master." Siyeon paused. "an owner. A better word a family."

"well, that's the only thing I don't have." Ryujin looked down.

"Hawk is your family."

"he's not human."

"Taehyung?" Siyeon raised an eyebrow.

"he's a butler. Stop pushing everything." Ryujin frustratingly said. "you're probably the only one that I trust fully."

"aw... thank you." Siyeon dramatically held her chest.

Ryujin watched Taehyung running around, being chased by Hawk. They look so happy. Seeing people happy made her feel lonely, maybe that's why she always tried to make others suffer, just like her.

"I agree." Siyeon commented at what Ryujin thought. "you know. When your desire to kill is higher than mercy, I can't help but encourage you. That's why when you tried to kill Yeji, you have a lot of mercy for her so can't really do anything."

"is that so?" Ryujin fixed her glasses. "should I test it out?"

"you probably should. When it comes to sex it's a different matter to you. She likes it. That's why you did it." Siyeon pointed out.

"hm..." she looked at the distance, Taehyung and Hawk laid on the grass. "I hate him."

"because he's having fun with Hawk?" Siyeon sighed. "another to kill?"

"probably. I'm not in the mood right now." Ryujin stood up. "guys!"

"you're lonely. Feel sorry for yourself." Siyeon then disappeared.

Taehyung and Hawk ran back to Ryujin. Hawk panted and scratched Ryujin's leg.

"he wants you to pick him up." Taehyung smiled a little at her.

Ryujin then picked him up. Hawk happily gave a few lick on her face.

"ugh." Ryujin pulled her head away from Hawk. She heard Taehyung laughed at them. "are you kidding me?"

"relax. He loves you. It's kisses." Taehyung smiled widely at the sight.

"oh, shut it." Ryujin walked along with him back to the penthouse.

Taehyung cleaned himself after playing with Hawk. Meanwhile, Ryujin put down her dog and changed her clothes.

"do you need anything, miss?" Taehyung asked.

"you wanna go home?" Ryujin asked back. "you can go."

"ah... okay, then." Taehyung then kneeled down. "come here buddy! I will miss you. See you tomorrow." He bid his goodbye to the happy dog.

"tsk... just go." Ryujin sat on the couch.

Taehyung gave her an awkward smile and left.

Once again. Ryujin felt extremely lonely. Even though she tried to keep herself busy, it's still not enough. She thought that she needs to adjust herself to the new environment, living alone.

"Chae." Ryujin called her. "come over. I'm at the penthouse."

A physical intercourse is the only thing that comes to Ryujin's mind to fill the empty space in her heart. She thought it's the only way.
