CHAPTER 23

Ryujin hung out at her living room with Minnie. After some rounds of sexing, Minnie begged for another.

"shut up. Enough for today." Ryujin looked at the clock it's almost three in the morning. Sure, Ryujin has high sex drive lately but Minnie's is something she couldn't handle.

"c'mon. are you bored? Did I make you bored?" Minnie stopped clinging to Ryujin and crossed her arms.

"no. I'm exhausted." Ryujin took a sip of her drink. "go home. I'm gonna sleep."

Minnie clicked her tongue. She stood up and walked past Ryujin, intentionally kicking her legs.

"what's your problem?" Ryujin glared at her.

"you. You're the problem." Minnie turned around while putting on her coat. "you're a fake asshole."

"this again? I thought you understand how I work." Ryujin stood up. "you know a little slut like you might have a lot more men in your dirty warehouse."

Minnie huffed and slapped the side of Ryujin's mouth. She then walked away leaving Ryujin's penthouse.

"those girls are always a gold digger." Ryujin said to herself. Walking to her bedroom, she laid down.

Hawk woke up by the sound of Ryujin entering the room. he jumped up the bed and laid beside her.

"you know... maybe you are my family." Ryujin said to him. "you never ask for anything other than food and hugs. I rarely play with you but you never get disappointed."

"I guess your new name gave you a new heart."

"I don't have a new heart, Siyeon. I'm just thinking." Ryujin looked over to her.

"so I guess a new brain?" Siyeon giggled.

"you're so annoying." Ryujin rolled her eyes. she then took off her glasses, preparing herself for a short sleep. "I'm gonna be honest with you. I feel a little jealous." Ryujin stared at the blurry ceiling.

"is this about Yeji?"

"Eunwoo. I wanna be like him. He's nice, kind, gentle." Ryujin paused. "basically because he's able to own Yeji, yes."

"go for her then. Three months is still short. You said you can do a lot of things in three months. Make it count, then." Siyeon encouraged her.

"you think so?" Ryujin tuned to the side. "I can never get to his level. Have you seen him? Handsome, rich, tall, patient. That's all what she needs. I can never be like him."

"I don't like your brain right now. Go to sleep." Siyeon got up from the bed and left.

a week later, Yeji came to her mansion. Dr. Hwang wanted to talk about something regarding to Dr. Cha's son.

"oh... what's with the sudden visit?" Yeji found them already on the living room.

"I want you to marry my son as soon as possible. You just turned 24 and Eunwoo is already entering his thirties. I want him to have a partner already." Dr. Cha laughed at his own words. "you know I married your mom when I was only twenty two. You're mature enough. What are you waiting for?"

"isn't it too early?" Yeji sat beside her mother. "we barely know each other."

"I know it is. I just can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. I'm sure we'll have enough time to know each other better." Eunwoo smiled at her.

"can you give me time to think?" Yeji nervously asked.

"let me talk to her for a moment." Dahyun stood up and dragged Yeji far from them. "I will give you time to think. Let me give you reasons to marry him."

"reasons? I think if you marry someone it's all up to the person."

"no, that's not how it works in our family. You think I marry your dad because I love him? I mean I did like him but most importantly, he's rich and prestigious. I can finish my study and we can have all of this." Dahyun thought for a bit. "I know money is not important for you but can you live without it? Besides, he wants you too. He's perfect for you."

"well, he's my type. He's indeed perfect. I bet every girl wants him." Yeji looked down. "I still needs time to think."

"alright then. Consider what I said."

They then went back to the living room. they continued to chat casually not realizing that it's already late.

"thank you for welcoming us. I'm looking forward to your answer." Dr. Cha bowed a little to them.

"we'll be going now." Eunwoo excused themselves.

"no. it should be like this." Ryujin said to Chaeryeong, teaching her about managing some stuff for the company.

"miss." Taehyung came in. "there's a person who wants to meet you."

Ryujin saw a familiar man behind him. She smiled at him and let him in.

"please sit down, Eunwoo. What's the occasion?" Ryujin joined him on the couch in front of him.

"there's no special occasion, really. I just wanted to visit." Eunwoo smiled at her.

"hm? Really? Maybe you need tips or just wanted to work with me?" Ryujin fixed her glasses.

"actually, since I know you're friends with Yeji, may I know what she likes?" Eunwoo blushed a little. Ryujin tried hard not to stab this man with a pen in her pocket.

"I'm not a love doctor. You can ask her yourself."

"ah... I heard you like to read. It seems like Yeji got a lot of books from you. May I know-"

"look, Eunwoo. If you're not here for business purposes, I suggest you leave. I have more important things than your little love problems." Ryujin stood up. "Tae, get him out."

When Taehyung walked over to him, Eunwoo stood up.

"I'll make a deal with you. Tell me everything you know about her. please. I- I have a plan to propose to her."

Ryujin gulped. She cleared her throat and fixed her glasses.

"let's have a deal, then." With a heavy heart, Ryujin sat back down. "what's your offer?"

"I'll give you four of my mansions across the US. You can choose whatever you like. I'll also give 20% of my company's profit each month until I'm married."

"the last person that offered me a profit lost their company. Are you sure? Once it's a deal, you can't take it back. I'll give you what I have." Ryujin fixed her glasses.

"I will do anything for her. I'm sure."

"looks like someone's blinded by... love." Ryujin scoffed. "I won't go easy on you." Ryujin stood up and went to her bookcase. Picked some books and put it in front of him. "these books will let you know what kind of girl Yeji is. If you really understand it, I'm sure you won't be coming back here."

"this is a lot of books. I might not have time for this." Eunwoo got panicked a little.

"if you really want it, you have to work for it, am I right?"
