HEAL ME (RYEJI)

CHAPTER 27

Another month passed by. Eunwoo prepared to go to work. Even in holidays he still go to work, this is one of the problems that the couple have.

"I promise I will come home soon." Eunwoo hugged Yeji.

"you said that last time." Yeji pouted. "fine. I won't held you back anymore." She then walked away and sat on the couch to continue watching TV.

"no need to get sulky about it, dear." Eunwoo walked towards her. "I promise I'll have a day off tomorrow."

"sure." Yeji didn't look up to Eunwoo.

He just sighed and gave her a kiss before going out of the apartment. Once again, Yeji is alone. She's bored. Usually, Ryujin will suddenly show up at her door with her typical smirk planted on her face. Yeji knows that won't happen anymore.

On free days like this, she usually spends her time with Yuna but after what happened, she didn't want to talk to her either. She kinda missed her. it's still early in the morning so she decided to sleep her loneliness away.

After some hours, Yeji woke up. She took a brief shower and decided to walk around her apartment building. Stopped by a café or something.

"can I have the hot chocolate, please?" Yeji said to the girl behind the counter.

"here's your receipt. I will serve it to you. Have a nice day." She smiled at Yeji.

Yeji found an empty table beside the window. She looked out at the road; couples seems to catch her eyes more than others. She hoped she could spend more time with Eunwoo like those couples she saw.

"here's your hot choco, miss."

"thank you." Yeji smiled at the waiter. She then blow the drink a little and took a sip.

DING. The café bell chimed. Someone entered the café. Yeji didn't face the door so she couldn't see who came in.

"I'll take him outside. Get me an americano, Tae. You can get what you want." Ryujin said to him. "I'm sorry. I didn't know that pets aren't allowed."

The bell chimed one more time. Yeji looked down then at the window. Ryujin walked past her, not knowing Yeji was there. Yeji was dying to tap on the glass but she held back. Sighing, Yeji stayed on her seat. She looked down.

Tap. Tap.

Yeji looked up at the window. Ryujin looked at her, already standing up. She picked up Hawk for Yeji to see. Ryujin waved and smiled a little at her.

Yeji smiled back a little wider. She also noticed Ryujin's face filled with cuts and bruises. Questions and worries running through her head. Not being able to say anything, Yeji watched Ryujin walked away with Taehyung and Hawk.

Yeji finally went home, again, the apartment feels empty. She didn't know what else to do besides reading and sleeping, waiting for Eunwoo.

"are you sure you can fight?" Minjeong asked Ryujin.

"I want this. Let me fight." Ryujin stood up, feeling she's been underestimated. "bring him in."

"this is your second tap today. You need rest." Minjeong put her hand on Ryujin's shoulder.

"don't touch me." Ryujin took off her glasses. She then walked in to the ring and get in position. Her focus is not to win. She have to beat him up this round.

When the bel rings, Ryujin moved swiftly to trick the opponent. She threw a few fake punches to corner him. With her unpredictable move, she used her whole body for the source of her punches. A real one this time. Those managed to make him stumbled back a bit. Ryujin saw him getting more prepared. She took a deep breath, focused herself on where to hit so it'll do severe damage to him. She swerved left right then uppercut, right at his epigastrium. An illegal fight has no rules, Ryujin did a follow up attack by hitting his jaw. She spins around and landed a perfect spinning back fist at him. With his back facing her, she kicked him to the ground. Ryujin get on top of him and gave him a tight head lock.

"I want you dead." Ryujin whispered in his ear. She's actually thinking about Eunwoo.

"TAP!"

Ryujin ignored the referee. When she felt that he didn't move, she let go of him. She stood up then suddenly got dragged by two people.

"you will get banned from this club." Minjeong said to threat her. "I don't want you to fight here anymore. You're killing my fighters."

"they're in the hospital, Jeong. Besides I paid you enough, didn't I?" Ryujin said calmly. "it's a stress relieve for me."

"it adds more stress to me, Ryu. I will let you train; I don't want you to fight anymore." Minjeong sat beside her.

"so I can still spare with them, right?"

"no. if you insist, then you fight with me like the usual." Minjeong tapped her shoulder.

"fine, then."

Ryujin came home a little late. Taehyung plopped on the couch and yawned. Hawk jumped and laid beside him.

"don't sleep yet. Help me with this." Ryujin took off her shirt. She checked herself on a mirror. Cuts and bruises started to heal. Scars on her torso were still visible.

"should we go to the doctor?" Taehyung helped her with the scars on her back. "if you keep coming to that alley, these won't heal."

"no need." Ryujin took care of her own face and scars on her abdomen.

"they could've killed you, right?" Taehyung got concerned. "I don't want you to go there anymore."

"know your place, Tae. Don't interfere." Ryujin grabbed her shirt and put it on. She then sat on her couch, playing with Hawk. "did you see her face?"

"Dr. Hwang? She looks great today. Still pretty." Taehyung joined her on the couch, turning on the TV.

"indeed. There's one thing you don't see." Ryujin looked down. "her eyes, Tae. She's lonely."

"only from her eyes you know that?" he raised an eyebrow.

"I've known her for years. I supposed that she haven't talked with Yuna." Ryujin added. "I kinda feel bad for her. caged by her mother, marrying the guy she barely know. Poor life."

"every family has their own regulations. Maybe that's just how hers works." He responded.

Ryujin didn't say anything. She stood up and went to her bedroom. With pain all over her body, she managed to find the most comfortable position to sleep.
