I rushed my little sister into the car I started it up and we drove off to see Carolyn. I thought back to when we were younger and she would always defend me from people who would pick on me. She was always the tough one I owed her a lot. It was hard to believe that I was probably going to lose her tonight. I reached out to my phone and dialed her mother, I had to inform her of this tragedy.

"Mrs. Guerrero?" I asked in Spanish since her mom didn't speak or understand English.

"Yes, who's this?" She asked. I was too afriad to tell her. I couldn't even speak, I felt a not in my throat.

"Hello?" I began to cry, I knew Carolyn and her mom for years now, I knew that if Carolyn died that her mother would be alone. She was an only child and her father had abandoned them after years of abuse. Her mom had already been through enough, after trying to have another baby but after every attempt failed she gave up.

"Who is this?" She asked once more. I began to tell her what had happened and after I was done she was crying so much I couldn't make out a word she said, I promised to keep her informed and hung up.

"Hey Kat.. Thanks for getting Rebbecca. You're such a brave girl." I told my little sister who was staring at her down at her feet. She had learned a lot from her people and although I didn't like it, she knew how to keep safe.

"No problem, you know I love Carolyn and I wasn't gonna let some dumb blond get away with almost killing her."

"I don't know what Victors doing with that psycho . Seriously he's blind as fuck." I hated seeing my cousin ruin his life over a girl, since he met Rebbecca he and his family had done nothing but argue. Vic was smarter than that, but I guess he loved her sex too much.

"You know, I never understood why he left Carolyn for her, just because she refused to have any relations with him doesn't mean shit." Katerina was angry, Carolyn had always taught her the right way, to not be a hoe or to have a reputation, unlike me.

We walked into the ER and went to the information desk, the lady at front had explained to me how the surgery had a few complications, Carolyn had lost too much blood.

"She's not dead right?" I said, I could feel the tears running down my cheeks, Katerina held my hand and squeezed.

"I'm sorry. The patients not dead but she is in comma."

I felt relief for a moment until I realized that she was basically dead.

Except she's just sleeping and we don't know when she'll wake up.
