cassidy's pov

it had been lunch and i was on my way (by that i mean trying to find it) to my art classroom. i find it and walk in, there are piles of canvases and boxes of paint, draws of sketching pencils. and instead of desks there are easels. i go and pick an easel to use and put my bag down and wait for the class to start.

once everyone has come in and is at an easel, miss tells us that today we can do whatever we want as it's the first day back of the term. i decide on doing some acrylic paint, i go over to the paints and pick out a variation of browns and a couple reds. i take a pencil back as well and lightly sketch out a face. by the end of the lesson i've layered the different paints to make a sort of abstract look.

it was now the end of the day and cassidy had completed her first full day at stoneybrook high school. she walked out and called her father to ask he where he was parked to take her home. but when she got on the call she was just as disappointed as ever.

"what do you mean you're not here?" cassidy asked, her voice laced with annoyance

"hon i'm sorry but i won't be back until later tonight" her father excused himself

"well how do you expect me to get home? do you think i'm going to walk back? cause if you do, you need to start thinking of something else. i hardly know my way around here"

"don't worry, i called the driver and he's just parked up, by a lamp post. look hon, i really am sorry but i got held back. how about i put some money into your account and you can stop and get some more clothes for school? sound good."

"dad look-" she started

"oh sorry hun, gotta run. i want to see what you pick from the mall so keep the clothes out. have fun, i love you!" he finished and hung up on his daughter. to say the cassy was pissed, was an underestimate. she was extremely pissed. she stopped at the mall anyway and used some of the money her father had put in her account. then made her way home again.

sam's pov

i came out of school and went to charlie's brand new bmw that watson helped him get. i got in and we started on our way out. as we were driving i spotted the new girl who i shared an unreasonable amount of classes with. cassidy, i think her name is. she looked like she was having quite a heated conversation on the phone. she looked pissed. and as she was almost out of view, i saw her facial expressions change from being pissed. to being extremely angry. i guessed that the person hung up on her, but who knows.

"who was that?" charlie asked, and snapped me back to reality

"who was who?" i asked back confused

"that girl you were staring at, she's pretty"

"oh her, she's new and in a few of my classes, and homeroom" i replied, ignoring the last part of his sentence

he's right though, she is kinda pretty

"what's her name?"

"cassidy"

"you like her?" charlie asked with a smirk

"what?! no! i've hardly even talked to her. also, i don't think she likes me very much"

"and why would you say that?"

"well she sat in my seat in music and then i told her that she was in my seat. then she just looked me up and down and said 'well i'm sat here now, so go find somewhere else to sit' and continued drawing this amazing hand, that, may i add, looked incredibly realistic!" charlie just chuckled at his younger brother

"what?"

"she doesn't hate you, she just knows how to stand her ground" he replied, chuckling still

"oh, yeah right. i knew that"
