They followed June's car as he carried Julie in the bed that was in his cabin. The stasis had already worn off, but she was still fast asleep and June had given her a couple of painkillers, so she didn't seem to even recognize any pain that was coming off of her injury.
"Ratchet, can you try to contact Fowler and see if he will meet up with us at the hospital? I have a feeling that he may be needed in this situation."
"Sure thing Prime. I don't know why you're going all out for this human, but as your friend I will support you." Ratchet replied on the comms.
"Thank you for your loyalty, old friend." As the hospital came into view, June pulled over and went in ahead of them as he and Bumblebee activated the human form that Ratchet had managed to create for them. It was weird at first, but there was no time to waste, he didn't want Julie to lose any more blood. He carried Julie out of his alt mode that was parked nearby with Bumblebee's alt form. As they walked in, he found Agent Fowler was already there talking with June and a doctor about what was going on, when they saw the limp girl in his arms, Agent Fowler and the doctor quickly turned to look at him. "And who are you?" Agent Fowler asked.
"I am Orion Pax, I am Julie's guardian." Optimus replied. "Can we save introductions for later? I really want her to get looked at."
The doctor nodded as nurses came and brought in a wheelchair to carry her in. Once he laid her in the chair the doctor turned to them and told them to stay in the waiting room as they checked on the girl.
As the time passed on by, it seemed like hours before they finally heard some news. Bumblebee and Optimus went ahead and fell asleep as Agent Fowler and June Darby stayed and were patiently waiting and watching the clock tick by. When the doctors finally showed up Agent Fowler and June Darby woke up Optimus and Bumblebee.
"So what is going on? Will she be alright?" Optimus asked, he didn't realize how much worry was in his voice as he stood up and was approaching the doctor.
"She is asleep. It seems to us that she has a sensitivity to any form of iron. We did some tests and it was very weird for us to experience. We almost would recommend her being studied, but seeing as the military is already being involved, that is probably already happening."
"What do you mean that she needs to be studied? Are you saying that she isn't human?" Agent Fowler asked.
"She is human, but her brain activity is abnormal. We did a few scans and found that it looked like she had been put into a lab and was being used. It seems that where she should have any memory is nonexistent." The doctor said, "It is almost as though the memory was erased by force."
"What do you mean?" Optimus asked. So was she actually telling the truth? Did she seriously have no memory recollection? So much so that it took her very life? "How could her memory have been forced out of her?"
"There is brain damage in her hippocampus, which is what is the storage and the pathway for any memory to be received or released. It looks like poisons were used or some other sort of chemical, maybe even machinery." The doctor answered, "Now as for her leg, she will probably need to drink lots of water and will need to eat healthily in order to recover from the blood loss. Now I was wondering if you knew about her shoulder. It looks like she had been injured pretty recently there as well."
"Yes, it happened only a few days ago. We didn't think much of it at the time. We had Nurse Darby come over and check it out and she said it didn't look like an emergency."
"It wasn't, but if it was a severe blood wound like this one was now, then there is a chance she may be struggling for a while. I would recommend a lot of rest and time. Her strength may be drained as well for a few days. As for memory recovery, there is no way of knowing if it will recover, not without knowing about what caused the memory loss. She could remember after a few months, or she may never recover her memory, there is no way to know for sure."
"Can we see her? I am pretty sure that Orion here is probably worried about her condition." June asked.
"You can see her, but we recommend her staying in the hospital for the next two days to make sure that her body is reproducing the blood that it needs to make up for the loss. We did give her a few blood fusions, just in case, but like I said, only time will tell." The doctor replied and he turned to lead them to where her room was after her treatment. As they followed the doctor Optimus looked in and he couldn't help but feel for the poor girl. What the heck was MECH wanting with the girl? Were they the reason that her memory was destroyed? They probably already knew that she was allergic to iron, which would explain the bullet injury. The story was starting to become a lot clearer to him the more that he had thought about it. When they entered the room the doctor went ahead and left with the nurses and left the four of them alone in the room to check on Julie.
"I know that this is all off topic, but how the heck were you guys able to take on the form as a human, Prime?" Agent Fowler cried out.
"Ratchet, but it doesn't last very long. We won't be able to stay here the whole time to watch her."
"What if you and Bumblebee, I'm assuming, took turns watching. I can stay and watch as well. I have a feeling that this girl may be more than meets the eye." Agent Fowler, "something about this girl seems to be very peculiar."
"I agree with Agent Fowler on this one. She seems very different from being a mere human girl. For surviving in the desert, for who knows how long. That is like a miracle." June agreed.
"I just hope that she proves to be an ally, not another enemy." Optimus replied while Bee nodded in agreement. Optimus sat down in a seat that was right next to the bed where Julie layed.
Everyone froze as they heard her start to freak out. Optimus saw her twitching and shaking in fear as she laid there on the bed.
