Julie woke up and found herself sitting in Optimus's cabin once again. She was starting to get pretty used to waking up in his cabin, which felt safe and comfortable. She laid there on the bed thinking about how the past few days have been, the few memories that she was able to recall. She still remembered waking up in the medical room with the bot called Ratchet who was tending to her. She also remembered how she fell from Optimus's hand and somehow gashed her leg from touching iron, not to mention the few days she was in the hospital, when she merely was resting very little.
An alarm went off in the base and she quickly sat up, but settled down when it shut off. "Don't worry Julie, it is simply Agent Fowler arriving up on the roof." Optimus spoke up. "He is here to help you out."
"Help me out? With what?"
"You will see." Optimus chuckled at her confusion. He transformed into his bipedal mode and his chassis was shut, preventing her from seeing whatever was going on in the main room.
"Optimus, what is the meaning of this?" Ratchet asked. He sounded angry.
"We will discuss this later. For now, have you heard from Bulk, Arcee, or Bumblebee? I was hoping that they might have arrived with their humans by now."
"They should be on their way any minute now."
Immediately they could hear cars driving into the base. Julie wished that he didn't keep her in his dark chassis, but there was nothing that she could do about it. She laid in the bed and sighed as she heard the very little bit of the conversation going on outside. "We will give you guys a few minutes to settle down before we get into the conversation." She heard Optimus say.
"Optimus, can you please let me out?" Julie cried, hoping he would hear her. Immediately his chassis opened up and he picked her up and put her down on the couch. "Thank you." She sat down with her leg propped on a small table that was in front of the couch. She was tired of sleeping so much and was feeling quite restless. The other three humans stood near the staircase of the platform with Agent Fowler, while the other autobots transformed and stood nearby, looking at their leader. "Now I know we are all very concerned about Julie arriving here, especially when MECH was there with her, but while in the hospital, some new information has now been revealed. There is truth in Julie's words when she has told us that she has no recollection of her past."
"What do you mean?" Jack asked, clearly curious about what Optimus was talking about. "Did the doctors discover something?"
"They may have discovered more than they could handle. When the doctor spoke with me and Bumblebee, they found damage to her brain, where the human memories are stored. They have no idea what had caused it, but they did discover the damage was not naturally caused. It was forced by what they believe could have been some sort of scientific experiment." Optimus explained.
"So, MECH could have been using her for an experiment. Which would explain why she probably was afraid of the MECH agents attacking her." Raf stated.
"What does this all have to do with us?" Arcee asked. "Do we trust her?"
"It proves that something is going on and that we cannot take anything lightly. If we were to harm someone innocent we would make ourselves as bad as the decepticons. I have more information to also include, information that Agent Fowler has discovered for me. Agent Fowler?"
Agent Fowler stepped over to where Julie sat down on the couch. "It seems there is more than just robotic armor that MECH is after. After research on Silas, we discovered that many children have been kidnapped from orphanages. Along with weird occurances of natural events such as animals and weather leaving behind very weird signs of death. Snakes of massive size, unlike any regular species. Creatures that people have not ever seen before leaving behind signs of danger. Almost like nature itself is warning us of a war."
"How is that possible? None of that even makes sense? Is the earth going to war on its own?" Ratchet asked.
"It's not possible, is it?" Arcee asked.
"There is no way to know for sure, but the only explanation would be mother nature making her own moves." Agent Fowler explained.
Julie tuned out their conversation as a headache started to form at full force.
Ethera
Julie looked around the room for the voice, but she saw nobody near her for the voice to have been from.
Ethera, speak to them.
Julie wondered who this Ethera was, was this a memory or a voice? Could it have possibly been her imagination?
You are Ethera, and you need to stand.
Julie decided that she was tired of them talking about her. "You do know that I am right here. I may not know who your previous enemies were, but I do know that you guys probably need help."
"Like you can help. You're injured, and if it weren't for the injury then what use is your mind if you cannot remember." Bulkhead said.
"I may not remember who I was before, and I may be injured, but the doctors said so themselves that I was healing at a rate faster than I should have been. I could be healed in just a few days. You know what, now that I think about it...." Before the others even expected it, she slowly shifted her weight onto her feet as she managed to stand up on both of her feet. "I don't even feel injured anymore."
"Julie, you just came out of the hospital, there is no way that your leg has healed already." Optimus protested. Julie tried her hardest not to glare at him as she reached down and in a quick pull, ripped off all the bandages on her leg to reveal perfectly healthy skin on her newly healed leg. "There is no way!" The black and yellow bot protested. "They said it would still take you time."
"I don't know what happened. To be honest, at the hospital I remember right after I drank the glass of water they gave me for the medicine the pain disappeared. It is just as strange as..."
"...your allergy to iron. The very thing they also described as unordinary." Agent Fowler commented.
"What do you mean unordinary?" Arcee asked.
"When we were in the hospital they discovered that iron eats at her..." Agent Fowler started to say until Jack interrupted, "...just like how my mom spoke of acid."
"I may be weird for a human being, but if proving my worth here allows me to get some respect and gives me a reason to live, then I am all for it." Julie cried.
"Like we would trust you with a mission." Bulk replied.
"We can give her a chance. Like all sentient beings, we all deserve the opportunity." Optimus said.
"Well you guys decide whatever you plan on doing, I got to go back to Uncle Bill, report back if there are any more issues." Agent Fowler said as he left.
"What should I call you three? I know Arcee, Optimus and Ratchet." She said as she pointed to them individually, "I know that is Jack and the girl's name is Miko, but the rest of you I have yet to hear or recall your names."
"I am Bumblebee, and my partner down there is Raf." The yellow bot replied. The angry, green bot seemed to roll his eyes. "I am Bulkhead, and if you hurt Miko, you will have me to deal with." He cried out as he pointed an aggressive finger at her."Bulkhead, is that really necessary? I know we don't know a lot about her, but she has yet to give us reason to suspect her." Optimus said, as he went to stop Bulkhead from doing anything to the girl. As they were all talking Julie felt the world start to spin around her. She tried to keep her cool, but before anyone was able to do anything, Julie fell down onto her back, completely knocked out. A glass of water that was nearby got knocked over as well and spilled all over where she laid down on the floor of the platform. Everyone quickly looked over where she was and Jack was now kneeling over her.
"Guys, you are gonna wanna see this. The water did something to her." Jack said. As Jack moved away from the girl, Optimus saw what was now a completely different girl. Instead of the simple clothes she had worn before, now there were rags all over her that looked faded and bland. There were also large cloths that were spread out like wings around her that were large in size. The girl had a very light colored skin tone, like a medium tan color. Her face looked pure and perfect as there was no sign of any scars along her round face. She had rose colored lips that complimented her skin color and she had very long, dark brown hair that seemed to reach past her shoulders.
"Who is this and what is she doing here?" Optimus asked, as he inspected her. "There is clearly more to Julie than meets the eye."
"Almost as though she isn't human." Ratchet said. "If the water did that to her, it might explain how she healed at such a rapid pace."
"We should contact Agent Fowler, he might know who the heck she is." Miko cried out.
"Miko is right, he might not have recognized her before, but now that it looks like her true appearance is revealed, the government might know something."
"To be honest, she almost looks like a Fae." Raf cried out.
"A what?" Arcee asked.
"What are you talking about Raf? What is a Fae?" Bumblebee asked.
"It is a mythological creature that is heard of in our society, we have quite a few fictional creatures that people have made up for fun, but based on description she looks just like something from a story." Raf replied. "A fae is described as a beautiful woman with wings and powers over nature."
"If she does have power over nature, then we may need to keep an eye on her." Arcee said.
"We should wait and see. If she gives us a reason to watch her, then we will, but for now we should try to trust her." Optimus said. "If the water revealed her true appearance, it may have also returned her memories back to her."
"Why are you willing to trust her?" Bulkhead asked. "After everything that has happened?"
"And what exactly has happened?" Optimus demanded, "Yes, the way she showed up here was very much out of the ordinary, at the same time she hasn't shown any threat to any one of us. Yes she took off, but did she do anything? I believe that it is not a coincidence that we have met her, but at the same time, something in my spark tells me that this all has been happening through the will of the primes." Optimus carefully picked Julie up, and laid her down on the berth in the medbay. "Ratchet if you would check on her to make sure her health is secure, for now I would like Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead to take the charges home. Today has been a very full day. I will speak with Agent Fowler about this new development that has come to our attention."
