Chapter 13: The Dilemma of Any Situation

Megatron was bringing Smokescreen with him back to the Nemesis when Starscream and Knock Out approached them. "Knock Out. Escort the Prince back to his room in my ship and then help us locate a fresh Energon source inside of the Energon Mines while you're at it." Megatron ordered the red medic. "Yes, Lord Megatron." Knock Out said as he bowed. Knock Out was ready to escort Smokescreen back to the Nemesis when the Vehicons alerted their lord and master of Autobot activities.

"Lord Megatron! We have a few Autobot intruders! Optimus Prime is with them!" A Vehicon reported. Megatron, Starscream, Knock Out, and Smokescreen were alarmed by the news, so Megatron barked to his Decepticons. "Find them! And destroy them! We mustn't let them get our Energon supply....and we mustn't let them go near my heir." Megatron said.

"Yes, Master." A Vehicon said.

"No! Don't hurt them!" Smokescreen yelled, earning a suspicious look from Megatron. "What was that?" He asked. "I mean, don't let them get away! Uh, capture them instead?" Smokescreen suggested. Megatron facepalmed his face with an irritated groan. "Smokescreen, haven't you learned by now? The Autobots are our sworn enemies! They must be destroyed!" Starscream told Smokescreen "But I..." Smokescreen tried to make an excuse, but Starscream scolded him. "No excuses!" The seeker commander then turned to look at Megatron and complained "This young bot is still holding onto his Autobot roots, my lord! Shall we discipline him?" Starscream asked.

Megatron declined. "No, take him back to the ship and keep him in his room at once." He ordered. "Yes, Lord Megatron." Starscream agreed. "Come on now, Smokescreen." Knock Out told the young bot who sighed in defeat before he frowned when he remembered his confrontation with Arcee.

He spoke to Megatron and got his attention. "Sire, wait! Let me fight the Autobots with you!" Smokescreen volunteered. But Megatron refused as he replied "No, Smokescreen. I will not risk losing you to your former team. You are to live under my rules and I expect you to obey them. Understood?" Megatron asked. Smokescreen paused but he lowered his head and sighed again in defeat "Understood, Father" he said.

"Good, now go to your room." Megatron told Smokescreen as he ordered Starscream and Knock Out to escort their new prince to his room.

Megatron went to find Optimus Prime and battle with him as the Vehicons fought against Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and Wheeljack, but without Arcee and their former rookie, Smokescreen. While Megatron and his army fought against the Autobots, Starscream and Knock Out escorted Smokescreen to his room while feeling like they'd done this thing before where they were ordered by Megatron to escort someone important to him to his or her or their room. Smokescreen was put into his room as if he were a child being put in a time-out when he's a fully grown young mech. After locking the door to his room by pressing the buttons, Starscream spoke to Knock Out to ask him about something.

"Why do I get the feeling that this type of situation is almost familiar?" Starscream asked.

"Whatever do you mean?" Knock Out asked.

Starscream thought before he snapped back to reality. "No time for that! The Master requires my assistance to deal with the Autobots. Guard the door!" he said before he ran to join the war front leaving Knock Out behind to guard the door to Smokescreen's room. Once Starscream rushed outside the Nemesis to get into battle against the Autobots, he saw Optimus Prime confronting Megatron while his team of Autobots are fighting against the Decepticons.

"Megatron! Let Smokescreen go." Optimus Prime told Megatron.

"Why would I do that? After all, the boy says he is the key to peacefully ending this war. But I still won't rest until the Matrix is mine and that you and your Autobot army will be destroyed for good!" Megatron told his arch-nemesis.
